Review: Also Known As - Book #1 AKA Series - Robin Benway - February 2013

One of my favourite things to read about and watch is spy stories, even better when they are teenagers like Cody Banks , Alex Rider or Nancy Drew. After reading all the Gallagher Girls series , I needed a new one to read and discovered Robin Benway's AKA Series. AKA introduces us to Maggie whose family are part of a spy group called "The Collective" and ever since she was little she has been practising her skills and going with her parents on missions. Maggie's skill is safe cracking , she can open any lock or safe. After their latest mission, they head back home to New York and prepare for their next mission reports, what Maggie doesn't realise is that their next mission means she has to undercover as a high school student and befriend Jesse Oliver - son of Armand. Armand is planning to publish a story which will list all the names of the members of "The Collective" including Maggie's and her families. What will happen though when Maggie's spy life and personal life start intertwining and she falls for Jesse ? Can Maggie stay objective or will it start to interfere with her job and what happens when a blast from Maggie's past surfaces and it turns out that he's the one to be feared ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
