Review: Love Me Later - Book #1 Second Chances - Libby Rice - October 2014

Are you a believer in giving second chances , especially when it comes to what could be true love ? One of my favourite things I like to read about and yes, I am a sucker for HEA and true love, and all that jazz , is the stories about people missing out on opportunities to fall in love properly and be with the one person they knew all along they should have been with and only to have them later on in their lives , cross their paths and one way or another as Blondie sung - discover that they were meant to be together all along and finally they get together. In Love Me Later we meet rich girl but hardworking Scarlett and underground fighter Ethan. Scarlett is one day dragged along to one of Ethan's matches by her friend whose trying to impress a guy by being at the match and they catch each other's eyes. Ethan wins the fight and after much deliberation from the both of them , they end up going out for a meal and then a romance starts to brew. That is until Scarlett gets attacked and she finds herself lashing out at Ethan and the going gets too tough and so they split and go their separate ways. Years pass and Scarlett is now a fancy lawyer and working her way up in the world of law and business and Ethan has put her skills of business sense together and created an empire. The two cross paths when Ethan seeks an attorney and the sparks that were once lit start to rekindle, but can they have a relationship and stop temptation as the law states that an attorney and their client can't have a relationship. Will they discover a way to break the rules in order for a  second chance at love or will a new obstacle stand in the way of their second chance at happiness and romance ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments. The other thing I love about The Winston Brothers is they are all genuinely nice guys ; they may look like they had a bad bone and they have reasons too - but they are the nicest around there, and they have the best intentions.
