Review: Perfectly Innocent - Tamra Lassiter - October 2014

Arriving home from a blind internet date, Phoebe arrives to a dead man on her kitchen floor and it seems he has been stabbed with one of her knives. The police arrive and it seems that Detective Matthews and Detective Swann have different ideas as Matthews believes Phoebe is innocent but Swann is convinced and will do anything in his power to ensure that Phoebe is behind bars for murder. As the story goes along we discover that Phoebe's ex-husband has been in jail serving time for drugs and Ron Carpenter - the dead guy is a drug dealer. Is Phoebe's ex-husband somehow related to the murder ? It seems that someone is going and has gone to a lot of trouble to make Phoebe look guilty from emails to missing keys and flimsy alibis . Who hates Phoebe that much, that they would go to lengths to ruin her life and have her convicted for murder ? With the help of new love interest Logan Matthews and his police force skills , can he help Phoebe uncover the truth of what happened to Ron that night in her kitchen ? Can they help prove to Detective Swann that she is "perfectly innocent" ? 
Besides having a Cover Crush on this book , Perfectly Innocent was an amazing read and for all those who love crime novels - will thoroughly enjoy as this book is also filled with lots of twists and turns.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
