VBT# Lost Wishes - Kelly Gendron

Review: Lost Wishes - Book #5 Troublemaker Series - Kelly Gendron - April 2015
This was one of those books that as soon as you open the cover, you are hit with an emotional charge as the prologue covered Fallon's wife death Hope and her three wishes to have him move on and find love again and then of course she died. The book then jumps three years later and we see that Fallon is your typical bachelor whom sleeps with whomever just so that he can numb the pain he feels and when he does sleep with somebody , he is always thinking of Hope and what he has lost. One night , he comes home to his boat and discovers a chick knocked out - this is Katie who was sent to retrieve from Fallon the deed to his Aunt Lulu's house. When Katie awakes, she discovers that they are floating out to another island and that she is reluctantly stuck on the boat , not to mention that Fallon is unwelcome towards her anyway. During this boat ride, we readers sense some chemistry and sparks between Fallon and Katie and we start to realise that Katie will eventually be the girl to change Fallon and bring him back down to earth and somewhat happy again. Of course like most novels , this won't be an easy task as Fallon is hyped on getting revenge on his wife's killer and Katie doesn't seem to be the type to lay down quietly and take things sitting down which provides a whole lotta back and forthing between the two characters. One of the things I did like in this book was that the author had chucked a bright spark in the mix in the form of Twigs - she was hilarious and one I could imagine as that cute annoying yet resourceful kid you always have hanging on.  As the book concludes , readers will be faced with the question on whether those Lost Wishes of Hope's will ever be re-found or is it time to make new wishes with Katie and Fallon ?
