Review: The Last Time I Saw Her - Book #4 Dr. Charlotte Stone Series - Karen Robards - August 2015 At the end of Book #3 we read as Michael "the ghost" got sucked into what was nicknamed Spooksville after firstly haunting and then eventually falling in love with Dr. Charlotte Stone , who is a shrink that works with high risk prisoners -mainly those on death row , who also has the ability to see ghosts. We read as Charlotte mourned the lost of Michael and chided herself on how could she have fallen in love with a ghost, when she knew the risks and the fact he was a spirit.  At the start of Book #4 Charlie is visiting Michael's grave, when standing there is a guy who looks like he could be Michael's twin as they look exactly alike and more so he is asking about his case.     Review: These Battered Hands - Laurel Ulren Curtis - September 2015 Firstly, I want to say that I have a cover crush on this book and that's what first drew me to the book, second was that earlier this year I read the author's book Quirks and Kinks and found it a fun read and then last , but not least the book is about gymnastics and I have a thing about reading sports orientated books. These Battered Hands was an amazing read and shows the inner lives of gymnasts, especially those who like the main character Callie are twice Olympian winners and aiming for a third at only 26 is amazing. Growing up , I loved watching The Cutting Edge movies though the films are about Ice Skating, I found them similar in theme and the way the book was written. In These Battered Hands, Callie is given a new coach called Nik who is around her age and a hunk. The pair of them , though they get off to a rocky start - they work wonders together and there is passion and chemistry siz

Review: The Affiliate - Book #1 The Ascension Series - K.A Linde - September 2015 Firstly, I was attracted to the book due to the cover as it was amazing. If you love fantasy novels and epic adventures then The Affiliate by K.A Linde is for you. In a way this book reminded me of The Selection series by Kiera Cass as the main character Cyrene is chosen to be a representive on the Queen's council which is one of the most prestigious positions that anyone in her city could dream of . As the story goes along though, things start to get a bit on the rough side as Cyrene discovers that all isn't as it seems and that life this side of the fence isn't all rainbows and sunshine and she is pulled into a world of danger, adventure and if she's not careful then treachery will evolve. Like most epic fantasy novels, the first books are always a little bit slow to start off with as the first book tends to lay the groundwork for the series and introduce us to the d

These Battered Hands by Laurel Ulen Curtis Date of Publication: September 29, 2015 Blurb Callie Blood, sweat, hard work, and a disconcerting lack of tears—my entire life—was meant to culminate in a flourish of glory and significance. The one person I found myself wanting more than anything during it was. Nik One preconceived notion can haunt you for the entirety of your life. I thought I owed it to myself and to everyone who'd ever backed me to do what was expected. What was right. What I was supposed to do. But nothing is forbidden in love. Not circumstances or propriety or the denial of the object of said affection. I knew now. This was it. If I wanted it, I had to take it. This gymnastics love story is more than grips, rips, and battered hands. For Calia Nickleson and Nikolai Ba

Addison Kline , Broken Road Release Blitz

TITLE : BROKEN ROAD  AUTHOR : ADDISON KLINE  GENRE: ROMANTIC SUSPENSE  It is often said that time heals all wounds. The words are spoken like a promise... A vow. These words are said to people who have been beaten down to their lowest state. To the poor souls who have nothing left to lose. Whispered into the ear of a grieving daughter, told with a shrug to a man who has nothing left to live for.  These are dangerous people.  The down-trodden. The grieving. The ones who love more people dead than alive.  The words should never be uttered. Not to the ones who have no solid ground on which to stand upon, no rail in which to clasp. The white-knuckled moments of life have come to be expected rather than feared.  "Time heals all wounds."  The words are an insult. A slap in the face... and around here, they'll get you hurt. For Averi McClain and her husband Colt, there were few deeper insults.  In the wake of Bl

Review: The Best Kept Secret - Wendi Nunnery - June 2015 If you enjoy high school novels , then this is the read for you as we meet Emma who is entering in with her best friends to tenth grade. When she recieves news that her best friend Andy just had sex behind the bleachers , at this point her heart breaks in two and makes me think of the reaction that Rosie had when her best friend Alex broke the news in the movie Love, Rosie. It seems that everyone is out having sex and that leaves Emma the virgin still.  As the year goes on, secrets become the in-thing and soon Emma feels like she doesn't even know her friends and what is happening in their lives now.  Emma is then asked to the school prom by the most popular guy in their school Deegan Burke and when Emma thinks that having this new status will change her life and be that "wow" moment, she will discover that being on top isn't as glamourous as it seems when you are actually in the "crowd"
