Lies We Share: A Prologue

Review: Lies We Share : Book #0 Lies Series - Ella Miles - August 2020

When this pair was 5-8 years old they met each other as next-door neighbors as Langston tried to escape the house after one of his father's drunken rampages. Outside he met a little girl who was just like him and came from an unstable house - Liesel. She was trying to hunt a spide that had been annoying her the past few days. The pair connected and soon Langston had the nickname Killer and Liesel had the nickname Huntress. As the pair grew older, they stayed each other's confidants until Langston's mother died, and then his father remarried a wealthy person when he was 12 years old. During this time, Liesel snuck in as Langston and took his beating. She never told him. The book then jumps to fifteen and eventually 16-18 years old where Liesel's mother is a maid for one of Langston's friends and Langston has grown into a dangerous killer and living up to his nickname. In this book, we read as after Liesel's mother dies, the pair have one last thing to do - kill Langston's father. Read as Huntress and Killer manage to achieve their goal, forever basking in the dark secrets they have kept for one another.  Will this interaction bring them closer together and reignite what they had experienced as children or will it push them further apart as Liesel realizes Langston is the jerk he has always been and hasn't changed one bit? Find out in this prologue "Lies We Share" by Ella Miles. This book gives readers the backstory for Vicious Lies also by Ella Miles.
