VBT# Nurse Mommy - Kristyn Boland

Nurse Mommy

Review: Nurse Mommy - Kristyn Boland - June 2021.

Catching up on my book tours, I decided since they are quick reads to go through the picture books coming up. Nurse Mommy was a cute story about a baby who is confused as Mommy is at home one minute and then the next, she is gone. The baby in his language which the father can decipher asks why does Mommy has to go to work? Why can't she stay home with him? The daddy then talks about the amazing work that Mommy does as a Nurse and that she saves lives and even when she is busy saving lives, she is always thinking about her family back at home. Nurse Mommy was a good picture book that covered a couple of topics from working parents to stay-at-home parents to gender role reversal and then what happens at a hospital and what a nurse's role consists of during an average day. Nurse Mommy is the perfect read for children aged 4-7 years old.
