Review : In a Holidaze - Christina Lauren

Review: In a Holidaze - Christina Lauren - October 2020
Going through my list of Christina Lauren's books and I have only a couple left to read before I have caught up with her backlist. In a Holidaze is Christmas meets Groundhog Day as we have our main female character Maelyn getting some news this Christmas and sleeping with someone she never thought she would and him shrugging it off. On her way home, she ends up in a car crash, and when she awakes, she finds it is now December 20th and that they are on their way to celebrate Christmas at the cabin. The thing is that the last day Mae remembered was December 26th on their way home from the cabin before the crash. When she arrives, strange things happen as she learns she is reliving her Christmas break. As the book goes on it does get a tad repetitive for my liking as Mae seems to be stuck in an infinite loop of repeating Christmas over and over again. Can Mae make some better choices and change a few lives and learn new things about those around her and maybe finally be able to escape Christmas and move onto January or is Maelyn destined to repeat Christmas break until she learns what makes her happy and what she needs to move on with her current stalemate life? Find out in this cutesy fluffy read by Christina Lauren. I have to admit though after reading this book it has made me want to do a few Groundhog Day moments of my own and also reminds me of the year I traveled to America and because of time zone differences, I experienced two December 6ths as I left Australia at 10 am on December 6th and got to LAX at 6 am on December 6th despite the time differences.
