That doesn’t begin to cover it. I’ve been practically sequestered my whole life. Constantly warned by my eccentric and reclusive mother against the “dangers of the world,” I was only allowed outside my home to attend a strict girls’ school. No parties. No sleepovers. NO boys. Review: Seconds - Book #6 Internet Famous Collection - Cam Johns - September 2020 Moving onto Book #6 in the Internet Famous Collection we meet Braxton Knight, a celebrity chef, and this tale of Cam Johns is based loosely on Rapunzel. I have to admit I was a little confused at first as the book is set in two different periods. We have Braxton now where he is trying to get another second chance with Senara whom he slept within a no-strings relationship during a dark time when the love of his life - his first love Phoenix died. Now three years later he is becoming very successful and going to therapy as he is ready to try and move on and we read as he shares with his therapist his love story with Phoenix that was cut short. Phoenix was a designer who came to eat in his restaurant, the day that a food blogger was doing a review. Braxton was so nervous that he ended up spilling the food and Phoenix came to the rescue. As he got to know Phoenix, he realized her life wasn't all sunshine ...

Review: Innocent Princess - Book #2 Modern Princess Collection - Lauren Helms - May 2020 One of my favorite things to read about is renditions of classics and fairytales. That is why the Modern Princess Collection caught my eye as each book in this collection is loosely based on a Princess fairytale. In Book #2 Innocent Princess by Lauren Helms, we have Zella whose character and the story are loosely based on Rapunzel with her long blonde hair. Growing up we learn that Zella was adopted as a baby and her mother was very strict, allowing her to only have one friend Cam whom she met when they were seven years old. After much persuading and perseverance, Zella now in her college years was able to talk her mother into letting her attend Camelot University where she is studying Humanities and Art. In her third-year now, Zella has two best friends. While studying in her quiet spot, Zella meets Ryker who is a hacker and someone skating through college. The pair have this instant sp...
