VBT# River of Ashes - Book #1 St Benedict Series -  Alexandrea Weis and Lucas Astor - August 2022. This book as I was reading it, I was like having flashbacks to a previous book that this pair had co-written together as the characters were the same and the storyline was similar and I got so confused as it felt the same but not . Turns out that River of Ashes has been rewritten and turned more into a new adult read rather than the earlier tamer teen fiction read I have read earlier which is no longer avaliable and this one has had a bit more added to the storyline and the story fleshed out more. He also has a dark side that he is finding it harder to contain and as you read this book, you also discover his nasty antics towards women. He thrives on the power, and as I write the review, I think Beau reminded me of Bryce Walker from 13 R...

Review: Have You Seen Me ? Alexandrea Weis - August 2021 After enjoying Death by the River which Alexandrea co-wrote, when I was asked about this book - I said YES. This book grabbed me for several reasons from the fact it is a YA thriller set in a boarding school environment and also the book has missing persons related to it. Set in an elite boarding school where the wealthy attend amongst the odd scholarship student, over the years students have vanished and are never to be seen again. When teacher Aubrey LaRoux was at Waverley Prep, a girl who bullied her Marjorie disappeared and was never seen again. This was ten years ago. Now ten years later Aubrey has come to teach History and to her surprise, another girl has gone missing - Lindsey who turns out to be Marjorie's sister. Lindsey and her friends were investigating Marjorie's disappearance and the previous three that went missing in the '90s and discovered the identity of the killer. Now the killer is cl...
