This book is one I had been waiting to read for ages ever since that cliffhanger ending of the first book "The Inheritance Games" and Book #2 was certainly a rollercoaster of a ride as we got not only the answers, we wanted but a whole lot more information as secrets were unraveled and hidden truths came to the surface and we finally learned the truth about Avery, her mum, and Toby Hawthorne. What I loved about this book is that despite everything that came to the light, not once did the Hawthorne’s try and take away their grandfather's wishes for Avery and the boys protected her like they were her "real family" as she learned the crazy ins and outs of the Hawthorne family and their deepest darkest secrets.
