VBT# The Friendly Mouse - Sophia R. Tyler

Review: The Friendly Mouse - Sophia R. Tyler - March 2022 This would have to be one of the cutest picture books I have read in such a long time, reading it - I filled with glee as you just couldn't help smiling and caring for the little mouse. Like, the title - he was just a friendly mouse.  The story is about our little country mouse who works at a cheese factory and as he loves in the country, he has to walk a long way and for a tiny mouse with small legs. He gets to work late and is very tired and his boss Mr. Roo gets angry at him. One day our little friendly mouse overhears Mr. Roo stress and decides to help him. The next day, the little Mouse wakes up to a present from Mr. Roo for his kindness and a lovely gesture. The moral of this story is if you are friendly and do something kind for someone - the karma points you receive are tenfold. Overall, not only is the story super sweet and lovely good tale - the illustrations are very well created for an indie read a...

| Review: What Will I Do With My Love Today ? - Kristin Chenoweth - March 2022 This was a very cute and happy picture book that is aimed at children aged 6-9 years old. This is authored by celebrity and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth and features a young girl who is just filled with so much love and looks at the world in a positive happy outlook. She has so much love to share and in this book, her family and herself are looking at ways to spread their love, joy, and kindness to others from helping pay for others coffee, helping strangers, and then finally adopting a cute puppy to share her love and happiness with. This picture book and children's books is a bright, colorful book and illustrations and it would make a great story to have on people's bookshelves. What Will I Do with My Love Today? by Kristin Chenoweth encourages children to look for different ways that they too can share and spread their love and acts of kindness during their everyday lives. Review: Walter Does His Best - Eva Pilgrim - September 2021 If you are a dog lover then you will love this cute Frenchie Adventure in Kindness and Muddy Paws book featuring Walter who does his best. This cute tale introduces us to Walter who just loves people and tries to be helpful. However, unfortunately, when Walter tries to be helpful, he just gets in the way of others and ends up making things worst. Poor Walter :(. In the end though, despite our little mistakes, good things can come out from them. This book was also a fun way to check out the city of New York as we have spots like the Broadway Theatre, Rockefeller Centre, and the subways. Reading and seeing the parts of New York come to life on the pages, brought back good memories of my trip which we spent a week in New York/Times Square. Jessica Gibson also did amazing with the illustrations as Walter Does His Best is a colorful story and features characters of all races.  Walter Does His Best is suitable for children aged...

Review: Chipper Makes Merry - Kimber Fox Morgan - October 2021 This was such an adorable picture book, that you can't help but love Chipper the fox despite his little mishaps as he has the best of intentions.  In Chipper Makes Merry by Kimber Fox Morgan, it is Wintertime and the snow is making everyone cold, miserable, and lonely. Chipper hates seeing people sad, so he decides to go on his merry way and help his woodland/ forest creatures by doing something wonderful for them and giving them a gift relating to what they need. However, things just don't always turn out the way he wants, but that's alright as Chipper has the best of intentions and kindness in his heart, and sometimes that is what matters the most.  Chipper Makes Merry also had cute illustrations and overall was just a great story and would work well in teaching children about kindness and filling their buckets of goodness, as with the world in its current state - this book is exactly the bright light we nee...
