Review: Three Heartbeats Away - Book #3 The Mortician's Daughter - C.C Hunter - June 2019 At the end of Book #2, Two Feet Under we read as Hayden/Carter to his friends had just woken up from his coma.  In the room are Brandy, Jacob, and Riley. The thing is though as he wakes up - he kisses Brandy as we learn that they had been going out for about two months before the accident and he has no recollection of who Riley is. She is heartbroken and heads home and cries with her ice-cream punnets. During this first instance, she is visited by a murdered ghost - a woman in a wedding dress with a knife sticking out of her stomach. Review: Two Feet Under - Book #2 The Mortician's Daughter Series - C.C Hunter - December 2018 Years ago, I was a big fan of the TV show Ghost Whisperer and also Meg Cabot's series The Mediator.  I love stories where humans can see ghosts and help them to pass over into the light. Two Feet Under is the second book in The Morticians Daughter series and features Riley who has the gift. At the end of Book #1, she discovered that the ghost Hayden whom she had fallen in love with is, in fact, her new boyfriend Jacob's best friend Carter and he is in a coma. Book #2 starts with Riley breaking up with Jacob as she hasn't seen Hayden for a while and her heart no matter what belongs to him. Desperate to reconnect with Hayden's ghost, she goes to the ICU and sees him and meets his mother Mrs. Carter along the way and the pair get close.   Review: Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs ? - Caitlin Doughty - September 2019 As soon as I saw this book come into the teen area at work, I knew I had to read it as come on, who wouldn't want to know if their cat - their most beloved pet would eat their eyeballs after they die? Caitlin Doughty is a mortician and has written a book filled with crazy questions that she has been asked from kids all around the world. This was amazing as I always knew that kids had amazing imaginations and were curious creatures and this book has proved it.  Death is something that we all know is certain though of course with technology who knows what could happen in the future. If you are looking for a book that will have you laughing out loud as the writing of Caitlin Doughty is hilarious and humorous but in a way that it comes out as a matter of fact and purely logical.
