Review: #Lured - Book #2 North Star Series - Jo Schneider - August 2019 I had enjoyed the first book and so continued the series. This series North Star focuses on saving students from ending up in terrible situations like they all had before. From cyber bullying to human trafficking to revenge based consequences. Review: Nobody's Victim - Carrie Goldberg - August 2019 Going through a recent phase of crime non-fiction and serial killers. I came across this book "Nobody's Victim" by Carrie Goldberg. I have always had a fascination with reading novels about stalkers and trolls and discovering the dark side of the internet. As you hear stories of the dangers of things like internet dating and trolls. As there have been a few stories of authors attacking readers over comments and then there is doxxing which has been turned deadly with swatting. With the development of the internet and social media, I am sure those who created it never saw this side happening and crimes like murder, rape, and assault are dangerous and scary but those criminals are likely to be charged. Review: Chess Club Dropout - Book #1 DropOut Series - Lux Carmine - August 2018 Readers of The Phantom Paragrapher will know that I have been going through the different bully romances - some have been DNF's, some have been amazing and then you have the in-betweeners. Chess Club Dropout by Lux Carmine was one of those in-betweeners. The book grabbed me by the title as come on, what type of person drops out from Chess? Our main character Ruby that is and on her very first day of Chess tryouts. Ruby has just lost her grandmother and her mother and her father didn't want her so she has landed on her Aunt Sara's doorstep and living with her cousin Maddie. At their high school is a group of hotties called The Lone Wolves, they don't date and do the odd hookup but normally they just stick to themselves and they rule the Drama Club.
