Review: Irresistibly Yours - Book #1 Oxford Magazine Series - Lauren Layne - October 2015 I read one of the books in this series a wee while ago and loved it and when I was scrolling and tidying up my kindle, I came across this one. Lately, I have struggled with romance reads as just found them blah and not grabbing me. However, the thing with this series was it was so easy to read and the characters were all likable and I got such a good strong friendship to feel with this book, and even the guy who should have been fighting for his job was genuinely nice and cared for his opponent as he knew she should be given a fair chance as they were both as good as each other. Review: The Heir and the Spare - Emily Albright - January 2016 One of my favorite tropes to read about is Plain Janes's discovering that they are part of royalty or the elites and/or falling in love with royalty. This book had both of those and a clean YA romance too which was nice to read. The book starts with Evie heading to Oxford University - her mum's alma mater and getting ready to go on a quest that her mother has set for her. Evie's mum died when she was six years old of cancer and each year on her birthday, she received a letter from her mother. I loved this part too as part of me wishes my Mum had done this when she got ill as all I have is memories which slowly fade.
