Review: Cutie and the Beast - Book #3 Cipher Office Series - M.E Carter - April 2020 As those who have read the earlier books in the series will remember that the OG gym burned down. Cutie and the Beast by M.E Carter are set in the new gym and feature Abel who is one of the trainers at the gym. We learn that Abel's wife has just left them and run off to live her dream of being a model and social influencer. That has left Abel to try and figure out how to juggle between his job as a personal trainer and a single dad of Mabel who is used to being the center of attention and I have to admit she is a bit of a spoiled little brat.  The other person we meet in this book is Elliot and her daughter Ainsley. Since her separation with her husband Derek, she has been living with her mother and her boisterous daughter. She is getting frustrated with her mother and trying to be the peacekeeper and determined to get her own home for her and her daughter. With a degree i...

Welcome back to Weight Expectations, where the unexpected is likely to happen. Cutie and the Beast, an all-new hilarious romantic standalone from M.E. Carter, is LIVE! Living with her mother seemed like a good idea at the time. But Elliott Donovan’s living arrangements are not working for her anymore. Desperate to get back on her financial feet after a divorce and out from under her mother’s thumb, Elliott takes a job in the child care center at Weight Expectations, a local gym. It has everything she needs – family friendly hours, more pay than she expected, and a super cute trainer who just happens to have part of his house for rent. Abel DiSoto was living the good life until his wife walked out taking half of the family income with her. The blow to his ego was bad enough, but after a fire at the gym scattered Abel’s clients, and consequently his commissions, he’s stuck figuring out how to make ends meet, too. Renting out the master suite of his house to his new co-wor...

Review: Sticking to the Script - Book #2 Cipher Office Series - Stella Weaver - October 2019 I have been enjoying the books released by the Smartypants Romance series as it gives me a chance to read a book I know will be awesome but also to be reunited with favorite past characters. I had enjoyed Book #1 in the Cipher Office series which was Carlos and Rian's story - which we do get to see glimpses of the duo in Book #2.  Book #2 Sticking to the Script is Steven's story, he works as a VP of Financial Operations for the Cipher Office team and we learn he is also gay. He also doesn't have the best taste in men and seems to attract the crazies of the gay world especially King who has a sexual kink of licking armpits and becomes Steven's stalker throughout the whole book. While accompanying his friend Elizabeth ( she features in the Knitting in the City series) at a work colleague's farewell as she is a Doctor, he meets Dr Ken Miles aka DKM. There ...

Sticking to the Script, an all-new standalone in the romantic comedy Cipher Office series, from Stella Weaver is available now! Steven Thompson had a bad year. A string of mean, kinky (the alarming kind, not the good kind), and crazy dating debacles combined with a boss who appears to be experiencing male-prenatal-psychosis means Steven’s stress levels are high. They’re so high, he’s decided to quit dating and focus instead solely on his job. Until he meets Dr. Ken Miles. Doctor Ken Miles is having a fantastic year. His hard work is paying off in a big way . . . professionally. But his social life? Not so much. Until he meets Steven Thompson. Steven isn’t so sure about Dr. Miles, but Ken is one hundred percent certain about Mr. Thompson. And even though both men know full well that the key to getting what you want out of life is hard work, they can’t seem to make them—together—work. Will they ever get on the same page? Or just keep sticking to the same old script? ...
