Review: Lollipop Lure - #Candy Shop Series Novella - Rita Delude - 2020 After reading Bubblegum Love and enjoying it and also I am a fan of some of the series that Crazy Ink Publishing releases, I knew It would be only a matter of time that I got around to reading Lollipop Lure by Rita Delude as I also love her books. The main character Honey has been through tragedy and a bit more as she is the type of character that when people see her they judge her by looks and label her immediately and don't make the effort to get to know her. When Honey was a bit younger, she suffered a tragedy in her life when she was abused. Due to her anxiety, she found sucking on lollipops a way to keep it in check but of course, this can cause a different reaction in teenagers which Honey is about to discover. When they arrive in the smalltown, she is instantly labeled and soon all the girls hate her when all she wants is a friend and people to see the real "her", the one that is broken and scr...

Review: Barbie Girl - Heidi Acosta

Review: Barbie Girl - Book #1 Baby Doll Series - Heidi Acosta - November 2012 This is a book that I have had on my kindle for years and I brought it originally as I loved the cover. Barbie Girl by Heidi Acosta is an Edgy YA novel and shows readers not to judge others by what they look like on the exterior as in this book we have two female leads Barbie and Katie. Barbie is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, she looks rough and there are always rumors about her flying around that she has done drugs and sleeps around whereas Katie gets the perfect grades, has a good family and looks wholesome and clean as she is saving herself supposedly for marriage. The truth is though that these girls couldn't be as different from the facade they put out. Barbie is failing in maths and so she gets a tutor - Dylan whom they were friends in second grade. As the book goes along, Dylan agrees to help Barbie on the condition she can help make Katie fall in love with him. ...

Review: Judgement - #Cards of Love Series - Jenika Snow - October 2018 I have so far read a couple of the Cards of Love books, and they seem to be hit and misses. Judgment by Jenika Snow was a definite hit. I enjoyed this particular story as it touched all my favorite tropes. From the edginess of the main female lead's life to the true love angle and that no matter what happened that these two characters had each other. I also loved the fact that neither character pushed each other away or played games with each other's hearts as I hate how that often happens in books.  We have Arsen and Harper. They were raised in a trailer park, and despite telling each other, they loved each other strongly. One night Harper's dad pushes her too far and lashes out more violently than ever, Arsen rushes in to protect Harper and Harper's dad ends up dead. Arsen is then arrested . The next part of the story is Arsen in prison and Harper religiously visiting hi...
