Review: Love and Murder - Book #6 The Summervale Series - LL Hunter - July 2022 I have to admit I was in two minds about this book as it is the last in a series I have enjoyed, so I was sad to see it end but also, I felt at the same time a little letdown with this book. Those who have read the series will remember in Book #5 the crew started to receive thrilling notes again and stalkerish gifts and we read as Bobby was lured into captivity by newcomer Adrian. Then the book ended on a cliffhanger like the previous ones. Book #6 picks up with the crew being called and let know that Bobby is missing. Since they are a one-for an all-for-one friendship group, they pack up their lives and head back to Summervale. It's a trap though as the killer wanted them all back and is going to finish them off once and for all.  Darcie learns that her dad has escaped prison and is working with the new killer. I have to admit, I felt let down with the new killer as they were here and then the next o...

Review: Loner - Book #1 The Boys of Welles Series - Ginger Scott - July 2022 I have been looking forward to reading this book as I do love Ginger Scott as an author, not only is she a great author - she is an awesome person. The other reason I wanted to read this book was that the release date was my birthday :P. In this first book, we meet three girls who are moving into their dorm rooms- Brooklyn, Morgan, and Lily. There were supposed to be four of them but tragedy struck over summer and one of them died. Lily a champion swimmer tried to save them all, but couldn't. Starting the new year, she sees Theo - he is the twin brother of the girl who died and the guy on who Lily has always had a crush. This year, things are awkward between them as he has now lost his sister and he blames Lily as she saved the others and herself but not his sister Annika - his other half. As the book goes on though, we read as both Lily and Theo are conflicted as they really do care about each other but...

The Last One A.S. Kelly Publication date: July 25th 2022 Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary, Romance Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Anya O’Donnell, and I’d like to declare myself guilty beyond all reasonable doubt. Guilty of what, you ask? Well, for starters, I’m guilty of lying to everyone for years; of pretending when I should have been showing them all who I really was, what I really wanted. I’m guilty of pushing away the only person who wanted to stay, convinced that, one day, he’d have left, anyway. I told him we were a mistake. I told him I was better off without him. I told him that I didn’t love him. And now I miss him. I miss his cups of tea and his stupid cheese crackers. I miss his clothes, strewn about the house. I miss the way he would watch me sleep. I miss his arms, holding me tightly each night, making me feel at home. But now we’re both alone. And I’m scared. I’m scared that he believed everything I told him; that he has no intention of com...
