Review: Happenstance Part #2 - Jamie McGuire
Review: Happenstance - Part #2 - Jamie McGuire - September 2014
I love this series and I have to admit that when I finish Book #3 I will be sad that it's over. At the end of Part #1 we discovered that Erin Easter was in fact the birth daughter of the Aldermans and that the Erin Alderman who passed away was Gina Easter's real daughter. The Aldermans, wanting to get to know their real daughter invited Erin to live with them and the book finished. Now in Part #2 Erin is discovering what it is to A) live in luxury and B) most of all live with someone who actually loves her and cares for her - someone who wants to be her parents and make sure no matter what that she is provided for and loved. In Part #2 though, we see as Erin's relationship starts to waver with Weston as for starters it's kind of odd dating the guy whose ex-girlfriend is dead and the one that was switched at birth with you and also Erin discovers journals that Erin Alderman wrote starting from when she was younger to date. Erin Easter has always wondered what made the other two Erins start hating her so much and making her life a living hell. She opens one of the books and discovers a dark truth about the other Erin Alderman - the one that was born to Gina Easter - her and Erin Masterton were in fact half-siblings as Erin Masterton's dad had an affair with Gina. As the journals go along, Erin finds the most recent one which details a plan to go all Carrie like on her at the prom and in the plan it makes Weston invite her. Was he stringing her along all this time and will still go with the plan ? Or did he change his mind about the plan when he realised he actually loves her ? What does Gina think of all the switched at birth stuff and now that Erin has gone - has she even noticed her not being there ? Is Erin finally feeling at home with the Aldermans ?
Find out in Happenstance Part #2 by Jamie McGuire, a series that all will enjoy especially if you adore the whole switched at birth scenario which I quite like.
