The alliance holds strong after the last attack, but bad blood threatens to jeopardize the treaty and test the bonds formed between the River Run and Dark Shadow packs.

Tyler never meant for one night of fun to turn into a secret relationship, yet he can’t… won’t give Regan up, even if it means lying to his alpha or leaving the pack that is his home. His family.

Regan felt the spark between her and Tyler from the start. He woke her from a half-life, pulling her from the darkness of her past, which threatens to extinguish the love between them before it has a chance to begin.

Lines are being blurred, allegiances tested, and as hearts break and tears fall, will Tyler and Regan’s love bring them all together or be a step too far and destroy the packs for good?
AUTHOR INTERVIEW

What was the inspiration behind this story?
I think a lot of Lost Wolf came from my own feelings of being lost and not knowing which path to take. My stories are very character driven though, and often have surprises I didn’t even see coming. Lost Wolf has one of those! Let’s just say when Kat and Bass are breaking your hearts… I was suffering too ;)

Tell us about your main character.
The two main characters in Lost Wolf are Regan and Tyler.
Regan has lost a lot in her life, and she’s been suffering from grief for a long time. This story is about her finding herself and learning to live again. Tyler is sweet, charming and a badass enforcer who’d do anything to protect those is his wolf pack. He’s not one to break rules so when he falls for a wolf from another pack, it takes him a while to catch up.

Which is your favorite minor character and why?
Hmm… I love so many of them. I think it’s got to be either Toby. A fourteen-year-old shifter from the River Run pack, for his loyalty and ability to make a joke out of anything. Or Arne, Katalina’s dog. For being fearless against a pack of wolves, and Katalina’s best friend, whom she can always rely on for hugs.

What is your favorite personality trait of your main character?
Regan’s ability to survive under any circumstance, and Tyler’s Loyalty and compassion.

One of your characters is going on a shopping spree. Where does he/she go and what does he/she buy?

Shopping sprees aren’t allowed due to the current danger. But Katalina dreams of them often.

Your main character is planning a vacation. Where is he/she going?
Regan and Tyler would go anywhere they were alone. Think log cabin, roaring fires and nothing but wilderness for miles. And definitely no nosy packmates!
Katalina once mentioned Disneyland to Bass… Let’s just say she’s still working on it. ;)

Were you surprised by the behavior of any of your characters or the direction of your plot at any point while writing?
I mentioned in question 1 the Kat and Bass surprised me. It came out of nowhere and I was running out of writing time so had to wait a whole day feeling upset before I could write again and try to fix the problem.

Please share a few favorite lines or one paragraph.
Tyler’s words were cut off as Regan’s mouth connected with his. Her body pinned him to the bed, her hips straddling him as her hands pushed him backward. Suddenly fueled with energy as his blood pounded through his veins, hunger stirring in his soul. He’d stopped waiting by the stream, but never once had he given up his hopes of having her again, of seeing her smile, of feeling her soft body on his.
Questions needed to be answered, feelings discussed, but all of it could wait. The whole world could wait for all Tyler cared because she’d come to him. She was here, and in that moment, his.

How long did it take you to write this book?
I started this book two years ago then life got in the way. When I picked it back up again I’d wrote around 25k. I worked on it from November 2017 but the needed it finished to fit it in with my editing schedule. I wrote over a third of Lost Wolf in a week. I didn’t get much sleep!

How did you come up with the title?
I actually really struggled to name this one which doesn’t normally happen. Lost Wolf was a title my beta reader Sabrina suggested :)

Tell us about your cover art and how it pertains to your story.
The cover is based around an important meeting place between the two main characters. A small stream that runs along the borders of the two wolf packs. Regan is on one side of the stream and Tyler in wolf form on the other, representing their longing to be together despite all the obstacles between them.

Is there an underlying theme in your book? If so, tell us about it and why/if it’s important to you.
Lost Wolf is book 4 in the New Dawn Novels and while Tyler and Regan’s story starts and finishes in this book. The overall series arc is carried on. There’s been a war brewing since the start in Winter Wolf and Lost Wolf see’s this come to a head. Characters are introduced which are going to be important to the world in future books. But I like to think that all the New Dawn Novels have one thing in common and I’ll leave a line below from Katalina that I think explains it well.

“I think the packs have suffered enough, and it’s time we acknowledge the love that’s flourished despite that.” - Katalina

Fiction can often provide powerful life lessons. What message do you hope readers get from your book?

To never give up, and that even if you make a mistake there is nothing stopping you from changing direction and heading back down the right path.
