Review: While You Were Spying - Stina Lindenblatt

Review: While You Were Spying - Book #1 Love Undercover Series - Stina Lindenblatt - February 2020
This book had sounded fun as
I love spy stories and characters going undercover and it sounded in the blurb
that it could be a fun story. I loved this book and it was great for the first
in the series. I found myself connecting to the main female lead Izzy aka
Isabelle. Izzy reminded me of Stephanie Plum from the Janet Evanovich series of
the same title and Izzy Spellman from The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz. She
works for a security firm that hires operatives that are like Spies. She is
their office manager and dreams of being a field operative. The problem though
is that the guys see her like a little sister and need protection. They don't
see her as operative material, especially not her best friend/roommate Jayden who
is one of the operatives. When a new case pops up that requires Izzy to go into
the field as Jayden's fake wife, she sees this as a chance to prove to them. Of
course, it won't be easy as turns out that the resort they are going to are for
married couples and includes Sex therapy which will push them out of the
friendship comfort zone. Is this the push that this pair needed to finally get
over themselves and allow each other into their lives romantically? This book
has quite a few LOL moments especially during the Therapy sessions as you sit
there reading and wondering how they are going to get through this particular
session/question. While You Were Spying by Stina Lindenblatt has something for
everyone from Romantic Comedy and laughter to Kick-arse females as well as
romance in the air.
