Review: The Wrong Kind of Love - Lexi Ryan
Review: The Wrong Kind of Love - Book #1 The Boys of Jackson Harbor - Lexi Ryan -February 2018
A female's wedding day is supposed to be
the happiest moment of their lives, but
for Nicole, it turned out to be one of
her worst as she discovered just before the I Do's that her identical twin
sister Veronica was pregnant and the father was her husband to be - Marcus.
Needing to get away, Nicole takes
Veronica's car and ends up in Jackson Harbor. It is there that she discovers
that Veronica was to become a nanny to a little girl named Lily Jackson. On the
night of her arrival, she ends up in a bar owned by Jake Jackson and ends up
hooking up with Dr. Ethan Jackson. The next day it is discovered that he is the
little's girl father and her new boss. Ethan's mother Kathleen who did the
hiring knows what Ethan is like and tells Nic to pretend that she is her sister
Veronica. She begins, and when she
discovers the truth, she tries to back
out, but she needs a job and becomes
Lily's temp Nanny. During this time though Ethan and Nic start to fall hard for
each other. However, Nic finds a note
from Ethan's wife that says "Love Built on Lies is the Wrong Kind of
Love" which is where the title comes from.
Can Nic let Ethan know the truth and will he forgive her or will her heart be
broken one more time and Nic find herself rejected as she has been all her life? I have to admit;
my heart broke a bit for Nic as she takes a call meant for Veronica and
turns out it's her mother calling her Happy Birthday yet she would never have contacted Nic herself. I
have to admit, though I did love this
story. I am looking forward to the next book which is Ava and Jake's as I love
the idea of a closet geek like Jake. If you love romances and mistaken
identities and family sagas, then you will love as I did Lexi Ryan's first book
in the Boys of Jackson Harbor series.
