Review: Adore - Morgan Rice ( Wish #3)

Review: Adore - Book #3 Wish Series - Morgan Rice - June 2023

After escaping a half-genie who tried to kill her and now a boyfriend who wants to talk to her after he found out she is a Blood Moon Hybrid, Taylor Knight is still adjusting to her new life at the Wilderness Camp. Taylor and her friends Quinn and Beth have also progressed to the next level of training along with a couple of other friends.  One night, the camp is raided and Jesse ends up kidnapped trying to save and divert attention away from Taylor. Of course, she feels responsible so she sets out to save him. Where Taylor is, her friends are close by and despite Taylor's pleas for them not to come and that she can do it herself - they all end up following her. It won't be an easy journey though and across the way, Taylor will learn more about Blood Moon Hybrids which means her parents were Vampire and Werewolf and she was born under the Blood Moon. Blood Moon Hybrids are very rare due to the fact they can be unpredictable and dangerous and can go insane when blinded by rage and emotions. So much so that when it does happen after she unleashes more of her power, her friends look at her like the bloodthirsty killer monster they promised they wouldn't. Along this journey, Taylor will also learn that the reason her powers were contained was that at birth someone placed a magical seal on her ensuring that her full powers don't surface. When she does a test to break this seal, she feels a surge of power. However looks like her moment of rejoicing is short-lived as when she decides to leave the Wilderness Camp to protect her friends - the Director gives her an ultimatum - imprisoned in the Vaults or killed as an enemy and traitor? This series is an easy-to-read YA and is great when you need a quick read as it's not too long of a book - almost like novella size. Morgan Rice's Wish series is great for fans of C.C. Hunter's Shadow Falls Series.
