#VBT Review : Tempting God - Sarah Bale
Review: Tempting God - Book #3 The Defiant God Brotherhood Series - Sarah Bale - August 2024
This was the first book I had read by Sarah Bale and was my first introduction to the Defiant God Brotherhood. The great thing about this series is that you can pick up this book and not have to have read the previous ones as you can catch the gist of the series and the members of the Defiant God Brotherhood. This book follows Greer who is Defiant God Brotherhood royalty as her grandfather founded the society and her dad was due to be the next in line and if Greer had been a male, she would have taken the rein instead of her cousin Charles. I felt for Greer in this book and you will know the moment and be prepared to have tissues ready. Greer has been arranged to marry Grant Carter ever since she was a young female, but lucky for Greer, she had some sway and was never forced straightaway into marriage like her cousin Charles's wife Alicia who had been promised to him since the day she was born. Greer and Grant have always had a love/hate relationship and this book follows through both of their lives from their first meeting when Greer was just eight years old to current day Greer who is now 32 years old. Unlike other brotherhood and secret society books I have read which tend to take a darker mobster feel, this one was pretty tame and turned out to be a great romantic suspense story and despite Greer being forced to marry Grant, I do love the fact that he did care for her and you could feel the true feelings behind this couple which made Tempting God by Sarah Bale a great read and it exceeded my expectations in it's enjoyment factor.
