Review: Ready to Fall - Daisy Prescott - December 2013

Starting off from a few months after Geoducks for Lovers finished , Daisy Prescott is back with another installment of this secluded island tales called "Ready to Fall". Maggie after reconnecting with her high school sweetheart Gil is staying at the Mainland with him as their romance rekindles , so it leaves her house on the island open. Maggie's friend Quinn has a client/friend who is going through a rough time and needs the escape - so Maggie rents out her house to Diane for the season. Those who have read Geoducks are for Lovers will remember Maggie's rugged outdoorsy neighbour John Day aka your modern Paul Bunyan. There is something about Diane that he likes but he knows that inside she is hiding a lot of pain just as he is behind all his flirtatious words and actions. Can John prove to Diane , that he isn't just another bump in the road or another notch on her bedpost or even a name in the jerks column ? Has John finally met the woman who can make him "Ready to Fall" for love?

It's time for serial killer time to strike again with Sean Slater's new Detective Jacob Striker novel out titled with the same name as a popular children's game "Snakes and Ladders". Review: Snakes and Ladders - Detective Jacob Striker Book #2 - Sean Slater - March 2012 It's amazing how much a cover can get you to read a book and then you discover, well I actually like this author as I picked up Sean Slater's first book "The Survivor" due to the fact that the cover had a hockey mask and reminded me of Friday the 13th and I really enjoyed the novel as well as the fact it was a school shooting which for some reason I enjoy reading about as it fascinates me ( just to add - I'm not pyschotic LOL) .
