Review: Shadowed - Book #0.5 Alaskan Courage Series - Dani Pettrey - October 2016 A favorite Christian fiction series and family that I fell in love with was the McKenna's and the series Alaskan Courage. These books are set in Alaska and are romantic suspense with a Christian touch to them. In the main series, each book talks about one of the McKenna siblings as they meet their "one" and get a "HEA" but at the same time - they are challenged and have to survive. As those who have read the series, they would know that the parents have passed away and they are raising themselves as a strong sibling unit. Review: The Crushing Depths - Book #2 Coastal Guardians Series - Dani Pettrey - June 2020 At the end of Book #1, we saw the agent Rissa faced with the man of her dreams and her protector growing up Mason. He is now joining her team as a fellow Coast Guard agent. The Crushing Depths follows two storylines. The first is a Coast Guard investigation of several deaths that have happened on an oil rig called Dauntless and the second is a stalker case of one of the Coast Guard Medics. Mason and Rissi are paired together and sent to the Dauntless but even before they can arrive on ship to investigate, their helicopter malfunctions, and they end up crashing into the ocean. Review: The Killing Tide - Book #1 Coastal Guardians Series - Dani Pettrey - August 2019 A favorite Christian fiction author of mine who often has her characters set in the world of Rescuing is Dani Pettrey. After devouring and loving her debut series Alaskan Courage, I decided to get back into her books as been wanting to get back into reading Christian Fiction. The Killing Tide is set in the world of Coastguards and NCIS. The NCIS references made me smile as NCIS is one of my favorite tv series - I have watched all of NCIS, NCIS: LA, and NCIS: New Orleans. The other thing I loved was the role of Gabby who was a journalist and when we discovered her childhood role model was Carmen Sandiego - my love for her rose ranks as I also was a big fan of Carmen Sandiego growing up in the mid to late '90s.
