Review : Abby's Journey - Steena Holmes

Review: Abby's Journey - Book #2 Forever Abby - Steena Holmes - February 2017  There’s something incredibly special about returning to a story years later and finding that it still holds your heart just as gently as before. That’s exactly how I felt picking up Abby's Journey by Steena Holmes , almost a decade after I first read Saving Abby back in 2018. From the moment I began, it felt like coming home. This time, we follow Abby once the fragile baby about to be born in the first book now twenty years old and finally stepping into life with a clean bill of health after years of illness. Knowing her history made her journey all the more emotional. There’s a quiet triumph in watching her embrace a future that once felt so uncertain. What truly warmed my heart was the trip she takes with her grandmother, Millie. Originally planned for Millie and Abby’s mother, Claire, this journey becomes something deeper ,a bridge between past and present. Through shared memories and long-held se...

Review: Royal Date - Sariah Wilson

Review: Royal Date - Book #1 The Royals of Monterra Series - Sariah Wilson - March 2015 Trawling through my kindle wanting something to read this wet lazy Sunday, I came across a royalty romance, and with it being Christmas time. I thought why not read a Christmas Winter Break royalty romance.  This happens to also be another one of my favorite tropes of an ordinary - not super stunning commoner having a member of the Royal family fall in love with them and bonus points if the commoner is loved by the rest of the Royal family and is a genuinely nice person. Royal Date by Sariah Wilson starts with Kat and her best friend Lemon on holiday in Monterra as Lemon's parents shouted them a skiing trip before they present their thesis for their Masters. While waiting for Lemon, Kat is busy reading and is hit on by Nico. She is not interested in a romance and not a holiday fling. The story then jumps to Lemon and Kat skiing and an accident occurs with Kat. Three days later Kat wakes up and...

Review: The Prince with Amnesia - Emily Evans

Review: The Prince with Amnesia - Emily Evans - November 2012 Kai is heir to the throne of his small European country and engaged to a girl he doesn't even love but is for the sake of politics, royalty, and money. His grandmother wants to marry him off even though he is still technically in High School. She starts a reality TV show like The Bachelor - Royal Edition. This reminded me of Kiera Cass's The Selection series which I loved. I was so excited for this book as I love Royalty, Reality TV and Amnesia in books and The Prince with Amnesia had it all. During one of the first episodes filming, a bomb goes off in the castle and Kai is concussed. He loses his memory, and so his mother takes him back to her family ranch in Texas to recuperate. Here in enrolls in public school and meets Violet. Violet has never dated, and it's finally her senior year when she's finally allowed a boyfriend. One thing leads to another, and the pair starts ...
