Review: The Lost Girls - Sonia Hartl - September 2021 One of my favorite supernatural creatures ever since I was in my teens has always been vampires and so when I saw this book, first with the title and then the theme - I knew I wanted to read it as The Lost Girls reminded me of the 1980's movie The Lost Boys and then the idea of a girls group of Vampires kicking arse reminded me of one of my all-time favorite Vampire movies called Thralls / Blood Angels which is a group of 4 females who were turned by the same Vampire and they bond and eventually battle together to kick their master's behind. In the Lost Girls, we first meet Holly who was turned in 1987 when she was 16. I loved Holly as a character since I was born in 1987 myself and also Holly loved Sweet Valley High which I did in the late 90s. Review: Have a Little Faith in Me - Sonia Hartl - September 2019 Ever felt Deja vu when you are reading a book and like, I swear I have read this story before but all signs point to you not. That's what I felt like with Have a Little Faith in Me by Sonia Hartl and of course, it's going to annoy me as I can't for the life of me remember the book, I was thinking about yet I can see the cover and the plot is familiar. Have a Little Faith in Me was a fun YA Christian / Worldly read as we meet Cece whose boyfriend Ethan has broken up with her because he wishes to become a "born again Virgin" and get back into God. CeCe is heartbroken and devises a plan to win him back by showing she is on board with all this god stuff by becoming a counselor at the same camp he is headed to this summer. Camp ThreeSixteen, which is of course named after the famous John 3:16 bible verse. CeCe is readily armed with her best friend Paul for support as he knows his bible being a Pastor...
