Review: King of Hyde Park - Book #8 Kings of the Castle Series - Lisa Watson - December 2019 Readers of my blog will know that I have been enjoying the Kings of the Castle series as I find this brotherhood and the main characters genuinely nice guys despite their dangerous backgrounds. King of Hyde Park takes us into Dro aka Alejandro's life. Alejandro was given the role of King of Hyde Park from Khali and his specialty is fixing everything. He is the "fixer" of the group and the go-to for getting people out of crazy jams. He is also fiercely loyal to his family including his crazy uncle Santiago - though he will do the favor for his mother this is the last time as things are getting more and more dangerous as he finds himself in bed with the enemy.  Our female character is Lola, she is a bit like the female version of Dro but her specialty is more the PR side of things. Lola works for Alastair Mayhew who has a long-standing grudge with Dro's father a...

Title: Maid in England Series: The I Do Crew #1 Author: Brenda St John Brown Genre: Contemporary Romance Release Date: February 5, 2019 Blurb TO: The guy who dumped me because of my career FROM: The woman hired to save yours RE: I am 150,000% over you.  Alastair, I’m on the 11:14 train out of London, so I’ll be there by 3:00. To make this as painless as possible, I thought it would help to establish key ground rules:  1. No rehashing our past relationship. Yes, we were engaged, but it’s been twelve years and I’m over you.   2. I’m very good at my job and that job is to help you shed the “reclusive” part of the whole “reclusive rock star” vibe you’ve got going on. Brace yourself.   3. My plan is to have this wrapped up by Friday, so save your smoldering looks until I’m gone, please. (I assume you still smolder?) I’m immune now. See item #1.  4. My cousin is getting married and guess who's a bridesmaid? Funny,...

-Review: Alert the Media - Mia Fox - Book #1 Hollywood Hotties Series - June 2013 April and Ryan were the perfect Hollywood Power Couple, the thing was that the public however didn't realise. They all assumed that Ryan was a hot, single hollywood bachelor and April was his arm candy and the behind the scenes girl. The truth was that they have been married for years and now though at the top of both of their roles with April in PR and Ryan in Films , he has dropped a bombshell on April . He has decided to finally come out of the closet and announce to her that he is gay . Not happy gay, but I like guys gay and also by the way, I want a divorce and have been seeing a guy called Matthew. Unsure how to react, April decides to up her seduction game and try and win him back as she believes this is just a fad he is going through. What will happen though when he announces it to the PR company representing him and of course April being Ryan's account manager - wants ...

Review: All the Difference - Kaira Rouda

Review: All the Difference - Kaira Rouda - June 2012 After reading a few of Kaira Rouda's books and enjoying them, I decided to give one of her earlier ones a go and though it was a different feel than her others, it was still really good and worth reading. All the Difference starts off like a murder mystery novel where a house has been on fire and looks like a gas leak - the male is dead and the female is hanging on for her dear life. The book then jumps back in time , as it tells the story on how all the characters came to meet and intertwine. We have Laura - the news reporter who is a seductress and will do anything for a story and also a bit on the side , Angela - Laura's dowdy and annoying roommate who is willing to do anything to keep her friends -even if it means doing Laura's dirty work for her or having her sloppy seconds to get ahead in life , Ellen - once a famous charity fundraiser and event organiser, she now lives her life out in the cou...

Review: The Hooker and The Hermit - LH Cosway and Penny Reid - February 2015 Have you ever picked up a book and started reading it and found yourself , chuckling away and thinking OMG this is awesome , I wonder if the authors have written anything else and if so I have to one-click them. That for me was The Hooker and The Hermit and before I start people let me point out that it's not Hooker as in Prostitute or Escort but Hooker as in the Rugby position and the Hermit isn't as in a Homeless Bag Lady type person but someone is who quite frankly shy and would rather keep to herself and do her own thing , than hang out with the rest of the world.  The Hooker and the Hermit, would have to be one of my favourite books that I have read for 2015. In this particular book we meet Annie who is quiet, shy and eccentric but keeps to her Hermit self in reality but behind closed doors she becomes the top blogger and social media extraodinaire SocialMedialite , a hobb...
