Review: Lock Every Door - Riley Sager - July 2019 After reading a few of Riley Sager's books and enjoying them, I decided to go back and read his earlier books. So far, I have ticked four off my list. Lock Every Door had a Stephen King feel to it. This book starts with Jules who is an orphan and all alone. Her sister Jane disappeared years ago and both her parents killed themselves. Her life has currently been on a downward spiral as on the same day she lost her job and was made redundant, she also discovered her boyfriend Andrew was cheating on her.  When Jules sees a classified Ad for an apartment sitter in the exclusive apartment building The Bartholomew, she believes her luck is finally looking up as for the three months, she is also offered $12,000. It's an offer she can't resist. When she moves in though, she is given a strange list of rules to follow and soon meets the other apartment sitters. Review: Dare - Book #1 Bradford Academy - Rowdy Rooksy - August 2020 This particular book I have had sitting on my kindle for at least over a year now and it was one I wanted to read but just never felt like the right time. I am in two minds now that I have read it. I did enjoy the storyline and got sucked into the story but of course, it ended on a major cliffhanger and the downside for me is that the author hasn't in the last two years since this book was released - published the sequel as she had initially planned :(. Review: The Elite - Book #1 The Elite - Jennifer Banash - June 2008 Scrolling through the kindle trying to find something to read, I came across a book that I had, had on the kindle for years. The Elite by Jennifer Banash reminded me of the YA series Gossip Girl and Private series by Kate Brian. This book begins with our main female character Casey who has moved from Normal, Oregon to live with her grandmother in Upper East Side. Her Nana lives in an expensive apartment building called Bamford Estates, set opposite Central Park. While heading up the lift to her Nana's apartment, she meets three gorgeous teens around the same age as her. Sophie, Phoebe, and their Queen Bee leader Madison.     Review: Charity - #Black Mountain Academy Series - Rochelle Paige - November 2020 This particular one I was in two minds about as I did love the main storyline but then they chucked into another plot that we see happening in a future book and it just to be honest felt out of place and it was like we are going to chuck in this whammy OMG moment but only gloss over it. Review: Play The Game - Book #3 Hannaford Prep Series - J.Bree - December 2019 In a bit of a book slump this past week, I decided to try and catch up on older books from my devices and hopped back into the Hannaford Prep Series with Book #3. I had a look on Goodreads and it had been about 9 months since I read Book #2. I have to admit, I wasn't overall impressed with Book #3 Play the Game as I felt the storyline was way too busy and I found the relationship between the guys Ash, Blaise, and Harley and then her friendship with Avery odd. It was like in a way she was a tease and that despite the four of them being under her wing, it was too strange a relationship as was a very slow burn, and in this book is so many characters - I found their story frustrating.
