Review: All That We Never Were - Book #1 Let It Be Series - Alice Kellen - February 2019 Though this book was originally published in 2019, it has only really hit the world of Social Media in the last couple of months with its eye-catching cover that makes us not only crush on the book but want to read it. I went into the book having a feeling that it was going to be an angsty New Adult Romance with potentially the same feel as After by Anna Todd. It wasn't as Angsty as I thought, but turned out to be more unrequited love and then requited love and then back to unrequited before finishing the end of Book #1. It was like come on Axel, man up and fight for her, don't show her that you are the quitter everyone thinks you are. The book starts with thirty-year-old Axel being asked a favour by his best friend since childhood Oliver - to look after his sister Leah while he is away for the year. Leah was with her parents when they died in a car accident and she survived but wishes sh

Review: Mother- Daughter Murder Night - Nina Simon - September 2023 This book captured my attention from the title as I imagined a mother/daughter duo with a game night but instead of board games - it was murder. This book also had a very cozy mystery feel to it. In The Mother Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon, we have three generations of females - grandmother Lana, daughter Beth, and granddaughter Jack aka Jacqueline. Lana has Cancer and has gone to live with her daughter in the small hometown of Elkhorn Slough, it is in the middle of nowhere and nothing exciting normally happens. That is until Jack finds on one of her kayak tours, a dead body and she is labelled as a suspect in the death of Ricardo Cruz. Lana wants anything to clear her granddaughter and this is the most exciting thing that has happened in a while. She misses the thrill. During the rest of the book, Lana will work alongside a reluctant Beth and an excited Jack in trying to solve the mystery of who killed Rica
