Review: Squad Goals - Episode #13 Geek Actually Serial - Cathy Yardley - August 2017 For all those who have a bit of nerd or geek inside of us all, you will love the Geek Actually Serials. I have been enjoying them over the past thirteen episodes and getting to know the characters and their lives. This particular episode I loved and hated, I loved the fact that the characters decided to finally take a step back from their lives and re- evaluate them up to do whether it be personal or work and that when Elli suffered rape at Comic-Con that they all came together to give Elli the support she needed. They were all their for their friend no matter what they were doing, they just up and dropped everything which I loved as it showed how much they cared. The part I hated was that the serial never had any strong resolution or ending. It was like ok, so this chapter of our lives is over and now we are off to do the next chapter, but you aren't invited to that ...

Review: System Failure - Episode #12 - Geek Actually Serial - Cecilia Tan

Review: System Failure - #Episode 12 - Geek Actually - Cecilia Tan - August 2017 System Failure is the 12th Episode of the Geek Actually serial, and I have to admit I was a tad nervous reading this book as it means that it is nearing the end of the serial unless they decide to write a second season. System Failure featured mainly Michelle, Christina, and Elli. Its main topic was Sexuality and the negative side of things. Michelle is learning the ropes of how to be a Dom and goes to her first BDSM party where she is given a sub. The thing is that they don't discuss safe words etc. and the scene ends with the sub being hurt . He rages, and it backlashes to Michelle. Is this the end of her trying to be part of the BDSM society? I have to admit; this was a little questionable as even though she is new to this world, it is BDSM 101 to have a safe word put in place for any scene and since neither party mentioned it -they were both at fault. Christina ...

Review: Geek Actually - Episode #11 - It's Not Me , It's You - Melissa Blue - August 2017 Reading Episode 11 makes me feel kind of sad as it means that I only have two more episodes left and then the Serial of Geek Actually is over, and I have been enjoying it. In Episode #11 it focuses on the issue of finding yourself and who you are which includes going back to your roots and discovering what made you happy in the first place. More often than not, this can also force you to make some decisions which you know will be difficult but in the end, work out to be the best outcome. We have Taneesha and Diego's story continuing as we know they had a standstill in their what could be called a relationship in Episode #10. In Episode #11 Diego shows his nice guy side to Taneesha as he did go away and think about what she said. In the past ten episodes, we have seen Aditi and Michelle's friendship waver as Michelle is her friend but also her editor to a book Aditi h...

Review: Geek Actually - Well Actually ... Episode #10 -Rachel Stuhler

Review: Well, Actually ... - Episode #10 Geek Actually Serial - Rachel Stuhler - August 2017 Taneesha's relationship is going well with Diego it seems, and they are ready to take it to the next level with Netflix and Chill the gamers way, but what happens when the pair end up in an argument about Taneesha's doxing and what Diego calls her feminist rant. We later learn that Diego supports and is part of the Gamergate community . This got me thinking about GamerGate as it was a big thing last year with the Male vs. Female gamers. For those who don't sure want GamerGate was it concerned the issues of sexism and progressivism in video game culture, stemming from a harassment campaign conducted primarily through the use of the hashtag #GamerGate. This is a deal breaker for Taneesha as she knows what it is like to be a female in the gaming world.  Can Taneesha and Diego's relationship stand firm or will this be game over for the both of them? Sadly,...

Review: Aces Wild - Episode #9 Geek Actually Series - Cathy Yardley - August 2017 Aces Wild takes us on a ride into Ellie, Taneesha and Christina's life. Ellie has been busy working with Ruby and making her Princess costume, she has always lived for the conventions, and that has taken up most of her time. Sex has never really been a big deal for her; she is attracted to guys but not like her friends. Ellie has always thought that something was wrong with her, but she is about to discover that she is asexual.  Taneesha currently on suspension has been spending a lot of time with Diego and now wants to move things to the next level with sex or as she calls it Netflix and Chill. What will happen though when Diego reveals the reason he hasn't slept with her yet? Can Taneesha accept Diego's wishes? Christina has always been happy in her job as a PA and never felt the need to move up the chain, what will happen though when Vivi goes behind her back...
