Review: Wish - Book #1 Wish Series - Morgan Rice -February 2023 As I have started to join in the last year of Bookstagram groups and raffles and the world of wishlists, it has seen me adding new books to my list and new titles that interested me but I possibly wouldn't have brought myself. I do have to admit this past year has opened my eyes to trying new authors as well.  Morgan Rice's Wish series caught my attention as it sounded like something up my alley. More so, the books aren't too long either which makes good reading time in terms of reading the book in one sitting. Reading Wish transported me back to the year 2007-2008, the year Vampire fiction was just arriving on the market. The year I first read Twilight and other series like Morganville Vampires, Vampire Beach, Vampire Kisses, and Vampire Diaries - you get the idea. A world for me before the Twilight fandom exploded and Vampires were suddenly the "in thing". If Morgan Rice had written her series back ...

Review : Hate - Tate James (Book #1)

Review: Hate - Book #1 Madison Kate Danvers Series - Tate James - May 2020 This is an author that has been on my list to read for years and also I felt a bit of kinship as though Australians probably claim her now as one of their own, this author was born in New Zealand - so being a fellow Kiwi, I am claiming her in this review as a New Zealand Author. This series, I had recently seen quite a bit making its rounds on Instagram, especially since Bloom Books released new covers. I had Book #1 sitting on my bookshelf at home which I had received as a gift on Bookstagram and figured why not give it a read. It was a little different than I had initially expected as with the first line of Madison Kate is dead, I thought she would come back under a new identity. That's not how it played out though as on the night Madison was supposedly dead, she was blamed for a series of crimes she didn't commit and because her Dad is an evil bastard who only cares about himself and his image, he let...

Review: Travis - Mia Sheridan - July 2021 Earlier this year, I read finally Archer's Voice and enjoyed it and then I saw on Instagram, that a friend reading Travis which is like an unofficial sequel and I was like this is my motivation to finally pick it up off my bookshelf and read it. Travis Hale as we learned in Archer's Voice is Archer's half-brother and growing up, he hated Archer as he was fed lies from his mother and always saw himself as second-best to Archer. Now at least 6-8 years after Archer's Voice - Archer and Travis have mended fences Archer is the town Mayor and Travis is the Chief of Police. Archer and Bree are now also parents of twins and a daughter. In the beginning, Travis is about to propose to his girlfriend, but when he turns up she is busy banging someone else. That someone is Easton Torres, a newcomer to town. Later that day, Travis pulls over a female trying to save plants - that someone is Haven Torres. As the book goes along, Haven and Travi...

Review: Just What I Needed - Book #4.9 Stage Dive Series - Kylie Scott - November 2022 One of my favourite Rockstar series that I read years ago was Stage Dive by Kylie Scott, I am still to this day a Mal fan ( he was the drummer). Over the past year, I discovered book raffles over on Instagram where if you win, people will buy books off your wishlist and so I decided to add some of the Stage Dive Novellas that I haven't yet explored. This one was a gift from @cassiehale71. I loved it as it gave me a stroll down memory lane as Just What I Needed brought back the whole Stage Dive cast + family members. In this book, we meet Jude who is the nanny for David and Evelyn's son. She lives in their house and is now one of the family. In Just What I Needed, she is about to get her music HEA as she meets music producer Dean Jennings who has come to work on a new Stage Dive album. Jude has never dated a musician or anyone remotely famous before and is not their "type" but can ...

Review: When In Rome - Book #1 When in Rome Series - Sarah Adams - September 2022 I have had this book sitting on my bookshelf for a while and when I saw an Instagram buddy read come up, it was the perfect chance to finally get to it and read the book. This is the perfect read for Audrey Hepburn fans as it is loosely based on her movie Roman Holiday. In When In Rome, we have a burnt-out pop star Rae Rose who just wants to be herself - plain old Amelia again as she has found herself being what the world wants and losing herself. We also see her drifting away from her mother who we are about to see as her manager controlling the puppet strings, this is part of the celebrity world that's the most difficult as who can you trust to be your manager as soon the line can blur to being because they care and love you to be all about the pay cheque. Amelia wakes up one morning and just drives, she travels to a small town called Rome, Kentucky, and decides to be the star of her own "Roman...
