Review: They Are The Hunters - Faith Gardner - January 2024 One of my authors that I have been enjoying her thrillers is Faith Gardner and with KU, I have been able to experience more of her titles. This one captured my attention with the funky cover. The Hunters' family look normal and perfect from the outside, but they all have a secret and one girl will soon have them all implicated in a murder. But of course, what she won't realize is that the Hunter Parents will go to lengths to protect their children, and even though they have supported this girl and taken her under their wing, she is not a Hunter and never will be. Olivia has a secret, she wants to murder her dad and so she tells Eliza that she is thinking about it ( Implication #1), she asks Cal who is a crime writer for suggestions under the pretense of writing a thriller book (Implication #2) and then she cozies up to Ethan who is obsessed with psychopaths and is wondering if he is one to help her finish the job and...

Review: Snowflakes - Ruth Ware

Review: Snowflakes - Book #1 Hush Collection - Ruth Ware - July 2020 Some days I get in these indecisive moods where I know I want to read something, but nothing grabs me. When I feel like this, I have a few quick reads on my Kindle that I know will just scratch that reading itch and hit the right spot. Snowflakes by Ruth Ware was one of those books. It starts with the War happening in what sounded like the UK and police/guards coming to the family's door. As I read this book, I imagined it being set in the 1940s at the time of World War 2, however, as we move along with the book we discover all is not what it seems. Laura and her siblings were raised on an island and were told that they were safe there from the War happening on the mainland, one that killed their mother. However, Laura is about to learn when her brother Cain disappears one night that all is not what it appears and that ...

Review: I Love It When You Lie - Kristen Bird - March 2023 This book had attracted me with the cover and I wanted to know more. When I started reading it, it was a good read and I was immediately thrown into the family of the Williams sisters. What a crazy family it was all filled to the brim with dark secrets of their own and each one protecting the other, also we discovered again like a few other books I have read, that the men have a wandering eye and other body parts. However, in this book, it doesn't bode well for the men as they have tended to end up dead. The book starts the day it should have been a celebration for the matriarch of the family Pearl Williams as it was her 80th birthday. However, instead of celebrating her birthday, they were having her funeral.  The book then jumps forward in time to Stephanie Williams - the wife of Walker Williams sitting in an interrogation room as the officer is grilling her about her sister in laws and a missing person. Stephanie knows...
