It’s been fifteen years since big-shot marketing manager Fi first met her bi best friend Max. Living on different continents has had its challenges, but she’s determined that their friendship will be as strong as ever when she arrives in Munich for an Oktoberfest reunion with their study abroad friends. There’s no one she loves like her Max, even if he has finally grown up a bit and now runs a microbrewery. But instead of lazy conversations and comfortable day-drinking, as they’d always done when they were younger, the reunion is a slightly desperate meeting of disillusioned millennials escaping real life – until Fi’s jetlagged, drunken rant about being a woman working in beer marketing goes viral and they’re roped into a bad-taste beerfest challenge. Review: Nanny Needed - Georgina Cross

Review: Nanny Needed - Georgina Cross - October 2021 Do you have days when you know you want to read, but everything you try is just not doing it for you? That was this morning for me, as I tried two books that were both DNFs, and finally third time lucky, was a book that had hooked my attention and ended up being a good read with a twist that was OMG and I did not see coming at all. Sarah Larsen is living in New York with her fiance Jonathan as her Aunt Clara has now passed away as a girl Clara had always talked to Sarah about how New York was the place to be and she had many fond memories of it. Sarah's Aunt left her with a lot of medical bills so when Sarah sees the ad for a Nanny, she jumps at it as it turns out it could solve all their financial issues. When Sarah arrives though, things are seemingly normal at first but then the "special conditions and discretion" becomes clear as the truth is that the Nannying isn't exactly kosher without giving too much of th

Review: Last Time I Lied - Riley Sager

Review: The Last Time I Lied - Riley Sager - July 2018 Have you ever gone back to a book a second time around and found yourself enjoying it the second time? For me, that was Riley Sager's The Last Time I Lied. I tried it initially in August 2019 and at that time I couldn't get into it and rated it 2 stars which is my DNF score. However, in the last year, I got back into Riley Sager's books and decided to make it my mission to read his entire backlist and this one and his latest were the only two left on my list. I still have the new one on my library hold list. This time around, I managed to finish The Last Time I Lied and it was a good read and left us with an OMFG twist at the very end that Riley Sager is famous for. Those twists and surprises we don't see coming.  The novel is split into two timelines - past ( 15 years ago) and present time.  Fifteen years ago Emma attended Camp Nightingale and one night three of her cabin mates left Dogwood and never returned, th
