This past weekend, the BayofGeddon Expo, hosted by www.armageddonexpo.com , brought together fans from all over the world to celebrate their love for pop culture, music, anime, and comics. It was the perfect event for unleashing the inner geek in all of us. The BayofGeddon Expo was a two-day event, held on the 25th and 26th of March 2023, at the Baypark Trustpower Stadium . The event featured a variety of exhibits, panels, and interactive experiences, providing attendees with the chance to immerse themselves in their favorite fandoms. One of the highlights of the BayofGeddon Expo was the cosplay contest. Fans dressed up as their favorite characters from movies, TV shows, video games, and comics, and paraded around the convention center to showcase their costumes. Do you have a Favourite Fandom ?

Fandoms: The definition of Fandom is a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of empathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest. I have to admit that as I have gotten older, I like particular things but I am not as much into the world of fandoms as I was in my tweens/teens . I have certain things that I will always like but as you get older, I guess priorities change for some and you enjoy the different things but it's a different feeling. Maybe that's just me personally, as I know a lot of adults that are still very much into collecting fandom items that are still relevant to them today . My Journey to Geekdom All my life I have been what I would consider geeky. I have been on numerous occasions also called a nerd, but I saw them as those who were highly smart, intelligent, and great in the STEM fields- you know the intellectual types. Me, I have been and always will be a geek. From a young age, I was always into books and reading. I learned to read at a young age and by the age of three, I was happily reading my little golden books and the early ICAN readers by myself my love of books didn’t stop there when at age 5, my aunty gave me her old set of Encyclopaedia Britannica’s. I even got my dad to build me my own bookshelf for them and he would read them to me as bedtime stories.   At the same time, Disney Princess movies like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were being released and characters like Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, Holly Hobbie, and My Little Pony were the rage.  Five-year-old Paula, had a fish called Flounder and a cat ...
