In Book #1 To Be Your Girl by Rae Kennedy we meet Hayley aka Hales who is transferring colleges and going to live with her older brother Tucker and his roommate Cade.  We didn't get a full insight into why she transferred and I wonder if there was a reason but Hale moves in with her brother and his friend and starts attending the local college.
