Review: Lonely Hearts - Book #4 Jessica Shaw Thriller - Lisa Gray - November 2021 Another author I have enjoyed often is Lisa Gray as I find she writes the past/present timelines well as her books start with a murder or crime and then jumps 15-20 years into the future. In Lonely Hearts, we see Devin being murdered, and then jumping forward into the current timeline is PI Jessica Shaw who has been hired by a lady to find her best friend. Years ago, her best friend disappeared with her daughter and they lost contact. This friend is worried that her old friend and daughter are in danger as the wife of a serial killer has been recently found murdered. It turns out that this friend also fell for the same serial killer and had a daughter Mia to him and then after their identity was revealed to the world, she changed their names and ran away where they couldn't ever be found. The residents aren't very happy especially Helen who led the charge to try and get the house shut down and on her side is Sloane - a newspaper journalist who also is against criminals being allowed out after her sister was murdered. This book is based on the murder of one of the residents Danny Wallace who was a bad seed. Everyone is pleased he is gone, but no one is owning up to his murder and the rest of the criminals are on edge as are they all in danger? Jeanette, the probation officer in charge of Ripley Avenue is about to get a wake-up call of her own. She was under the impression that the house was running well and that she had a great team that she could rely on, but it looks li...
