Review: The Kill Club - Wendy Heard - December 2019 What would you do to save the one you loved? Would you go to extremes and help pull off a stranger on a train scenario? The Kill Club by Wendy Heard had this vibe as I read it. I have been in a bit of a thriller mood lately as other titles have just felt blah. This was a good read as we first meet Jazz whose sibling was adopted by their foster mother. The thing now is that once Carol got ahold of what she wanted, she kicked Jazz out of the house and threatened her with Joaquin. If she doesn't follow Carol's rules then Jazz will never get to see him again. Jazz can't bear losing him and is offered an opportunity to get rid of Carol. All she has to do is join a secret society called Blackbirds and kill someone else who deserves it and in return, someone will kill Carol on her behalf. Review: Confessions on the 7:45 - Lisa Unger - October 2020 It's been a wee while since I have read a mystery novel and recently a friend of mine was talking about getting back into crime and I knew I had a tour date coming up for this book, so decided while giving my partner scratches as he wasn't feeling too well, to read Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger. It's also been a long time since I have read one of Lisa's novels, I hopped on Goodreads and seems it was 2013 when I last read a handful of her books, mainly pre-blogging dates as there aren't any reviews added. This book follows three women mainly all are going through something and connected. Our main female Selena has just discovered her husband Graeme is cheating on her with their nanny Geneva. On this day, in particular, she catches the late train and meets a lady called Martha whom we later discover as Anne/Pearl among other names.
