Review: In a Holidaze - Christina Lauren - October 2020 Going through my list of Christina Lauren's books and I have only a couple left to read before I have caught up with her backlist. In a Holidaze is Christmas meets Groundhog Day as we have our main female character Maelyn getting some news this Christmas and sleeping with someone she never thought she would and him shrugging it off. On her way home, she ends up in a car crash, and when she awakes, she finds it is now December 20th and that they are on their way to celebrate Christmas at the cabin. The thing is that the last day Mae remembered was December 26th on their way home from the cabin before the crash. When she arrives, strange things happen as she learns she is reliving her Christmas break. As the book goes on it does get a tad repetitive for my liking as Mae seems to be stuck in an infinite loop of repeating Christmas over and over again. Can Mae make some better choices and change a few lives and learn new things ab...

Review: The Honey- Don't List - Christina Lauren - March 2020 One of my favorite authors that I quite enjoy and that I had the pleasure of meeting at RT2017 in Atlanta is the duo known as Christina Lauren. Every one of their books is a read that I can't put down and I have enjoyed all of the ones I have read to date. The Honey-Don't List was no exception as I was immediately drawn in as the book starts with police interrogation and the readers are left to wonder what is going on with the Tripps and what happened. The book then jumps back to the beginning where the Tripps were at a finishing party for their successful series Small Spaces. Carey is Melissa's right-hand girl and James is Rusty's, right-hand man. Melissa and Rusty Tripp are a successful super couple with TV shows, books, and two new ventures ready to launch - a new Netflix series and a book about Marriage. The thing though is that behind closed doors, the Tripps are nothing but scams - they didn't u...

Review: Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating - Christina Lauren - September 2018 Have you ever looked up to a guy and thought there is no way in hell you two could date as he's Mr. Perfect and you are well - yourself in all your eccentric glory. For Hazel, that guy was Korean Josh Im. He was an advisor in college and a few years above her. He was the perfect guy she wanted to date, but every time he was around she did crazy things - more than her usual self. The two though became friends in college and then went their separate ways. Now years later, Hazel is a school teacher and has just gotten a job teaching third-graders and has a new friend - fellow teacher Emily and her husband Dave - the school principal. Emily invites her to her house for a Summer BBQ to meet the other faculty where she will be teaching and Josh rocks up. Turns out that Josh is Emily's older brother. Small world right? The pair are reunited and just like in college, they become fast f...
