Review: Love Theoretically - Book #3 Love Hypothesis Series - Ali Hazelwood - June 2023 Something that readers of my reviews will know is that I love quirky and geeky characters as I feel often I can relate to them. I might not be as academic as they are but I can be just as dense or awkward. I have loved this series and I do feel that as each book came along, they just got better and better. In Love, Theoretically, it's the world of Theoretical Physicists versus Experimental Physicists with Elsie and Jack. To help pay her way through graduate school, she joined a fake dating site where she pretended to be a fake girlfriend, and one of her clients was Greg Smith. She meets Greg's family and his awful brother who she feels is always judging her. The next thing she knows in her personal life is she is up for a dream job at MIT and one of the guys though is her nemesis who discredited her mentor Jonathon Turner-Smith but turns out Elsie knows Jonathon as Jack and he knows Elsie...

Synopsis: The Finder - Beatrix Patterson Mystery - Eva Shaw - November 2022 Three young women have been murdered in a cult-style ritual. Or maybe they jumped off a beach cliff to their rocky deaths somehow to cleanse their sins. Each have small concentric circles tattooed on their breasts. It’s a variation of one used by local Indigenous groups. What would you do if you learned of the malicious acts? If you’re Beatrix Patterson, recently settling in Santa Barbara with her fiancé Dr. Thomas Ling, Chinese British scientist, you’d vow to uncover the truth. She refuses to allow these women be buried as Jane Does. First, in the sleepy beach town, she must dig out who would want them dead. That would be enough for most “finders” but then she’s begged to unearth the secret behind of the recent death of a New Orleans high-roller. Who to believe, the man’s over-the-top drag queen son or the cold evidence in the city’s morgue? It’s 1946. There’s no Internet and no way to search soci...

Trust . No, I will not be finding an eternal bonded mate among the seven-foot-tall alien males. No, I will not be wearing a furkini and walking around barefoot. And no, I will not be moving into a cave with no internet or running water and accepting my fate like the rest of the freed human women on this craft-cocktail-forsaken planet. Two liquid hydrogen rockets and a smidge of deep-space travel later, and we’re back home on Earth. Except that our spaceship had stowaways. Now there’s a seven-foot-tall alien named Cassius in my Los Angeles condo. He’s explaining calmly that according ...

Review: Living Wilder - Leigh Tudor

Review: Living Wilder - Book #1 Wilder Series - Leigh Tudor - May 2021 This series had captured my attention as it sounded awesome, three sisters and each one a prodigy in a particular field after a car accident that killed their parents. We have our eldest sister who is a maths prodigy, the middle sister is an art prodigy and the youngest is a music prodigy. The girls were thought to be saved by a scientist when they ended up in foster care, however, it turned out to be anything but fun and safe as they ended in a world of scientific tests and experiments and when they stepped out of line, they were labeled psycho and crazy. When "the scientist" passes away, this is the girl's chance to finally escape and be free in the "real world". The oldest sister has brought a little house in a small town called Wilder named after her favorite children's books and given themselves new names and the surname Ingalls. There are quite a few Little House on the Prarie re...

The only problem is Josh’s brother, Brandon, is constantly around blocking any attempts to create a romantic atmosphere. Megan nurses an oversized grudge against jocks due to a past traumatic experience. The fact that Brandon’s a professional football player whose new favorite sport is mocking her only increases her fantasies of feeding him to a giant carnivorous plant.
