Review: The Kiss Bet - #Volume #2 - Ingrid Ochoa - August 2025 There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about curling up with The Kiss Bet – Volume #2 . As I read through this WEBTOON collection, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d stepped straight back into the cosy comfort of those classic late 90s and early 2000s chick flicks I used to adore. You know the ones – She’s All That , Not Another Teen Movie , and all those high school rom-coms that mixed awkward crushes, friendship drama, and that fluttery feeling of first love. This volume gave me that exact same vibe, and honestly, it felt like revisiting an old favourite. Sara Lin is now eighteen and in her final year of high school. She’s got a good group of friends, a dad who thinks he’s still the coolest guy around, and a whole future ahead of her. The only thing she hasn’t experienced yet? Her first kiss. And thanks to her friend Patrick and his relentless betting challenges, that suddenly becomes the one thing everyone seems to be ...

Review: Lumberjanes: Volume Three - Various Contributors - February 2026 Oh friends, gather round because I have the most wonderful thing to share with you today, and I am barely containing my excitement as I type this! When the postie knocked on my door with a review copy from the absolute legends over at Boom Studios, I may have done a little happy dance in my hallway. Boom Studios honestly publishes some of the most joyful, imaginative, and downright brilliant comics and graphic novels out there, and being trusted with one of their titles for review genuinely made my day. But here's the thing  this wasn't just any title. This was Lumberjanes. My Lumberjanes. I fell in love with April, Jo, Mal, Molly, and Ripley over ten years ago when this gorgeous series first burst onto the scene, and that love has never once wavered. They feel like old friends at this point, the kind you'd want sitting round your kitchen table with a mug of tea and a warm biscuit. Book Three collect...

Review: A Hurt So Sweet - #Volume 3 - Betti Rosewood/ Isabella Starling - July 2020 First, off I have added the name Betti Rosewood to the review as that was the name initially that Isabella Starling was using to write this series but I noticed she has gone back to her name on the cover of Volume #3.  Volume #3 picks up where Volume #2 ended with Lai calling Dexter as Pandora is a mess. She trusted Easton Brantley and look where it got her, she ended up having sex with the other boys Caspian, Justin, and Lai, and treated like dirt or as they use this term in the book a lot "toy" whose use is to be used and then discarded like yesterday's trash. When Emilian finds out she is ruined now by not just one but all five of the founding family sons, this is his last straw and he strips her of her firstborn rights and now Brazen has inherited the rights of Firstborn and Tianna - second born so this has reduced Pandora - to absolute nothing ( which puts her even lower than maids...

Review: A Hurt So Sweet - Volume #2  Elite of Eden Falls Prep Series - Betti Rosewood - October 2019 One of the darkest bullymances I have read would have to be the series A Hurt So Sweet by Betti Rosewood. I was in the mood last night to read something but wasn't sure what I wanted to read. I remember scrolling through and this series popped into my head. Just like the first volume, this book was just as crazy as we are reunited with Pandora who is trying to find herself in this crazy world where she is like currency - worth something but not. Volume #2 has the introduction to Easton Brantley who seems like Pandora's savior from Dexter Booth but she is about to realize that maybe she has chosen the worst of the two evils. Can Dexter save her or has Pandora realized it is too late to save herself? In Volume #2 we get a surprise as we learn more about Lily-Anne Oakes and the events surrounding her death that are touched on in the first book. We also learn more about Dexter...
