Review: Shadow's Protection - Chelle Bliss

Review: Shadow's Protection - Book #1 Hurricane Heat MC Series - Chelle Bliss - September 2025

Back in July 2016, I fell head over heels for Chelle Bliss’s Men of Inked series and the unforgettable Gallo brothers. That was the moment I knew Chelle Bliss would be one of my forever authors and was lucky to meet her in person at RT2017 as well. Her men might live in a world of MCs and gangsters, but they’re never just tough guys—they’re protectors, lovers, and absolute softies when it comes to the women they care about. There’s something magnetic about the way Chelle Bliss writes alpha males who respect women and wear their loyalty like armor.

So when I received an autographed copy of Shadow’s Protection—complete with a discreet cover, thank you very much—I was buzzing with excitement. This book kicks off her brand-new Hurricane Heat Club series, and let me tell you, it’s got all the grit, heat, and heart I’ve come to expect from Chelle Bliss .

Shadow is out collecting debts when a storm traps him at a local motel. Enter Violet, a beautiful stranger in need of shelter. The motel’s owner, Malcolm, claims there’s no room at the inn (classic), so Shadow steps in like the knight in leather armor he is and offers her refuge at his MC clubhouse. What follows is a whirlwind of chemistry, connection, and emotional vulnerability that had me swooning from page one.

Over the next few days, Shadow and Violet share more than just shelter—they share secrets, sparks, and maybe even something deeper. But when the storm clears, the big question looms: was this just a fling, or has Violet cracked open Shadow’s guarded heart?

Chelle Bliss delivers a story that’s sexy, stormy, and surprisingly tender. The biker backdrop adds just the right amount of danger and edge, while the romance is pure fire. I loved seeing Shadow’s protective instincts clash with his growing feelings, and Violet’s strength made her a heroine worth rooting for.

If you’re a longtime fan like me or just dipping your toes into the MC romance world, Shadow’s Protection is the perfect place to start. Chelle’s storytelling is as addictive as ever, and I can’t wait to see what the Hurricane Heat Club has in store next.
