Review: Filthy Rich Boys - CM Stunich
Review: Filthy Rich Boys - Book #1 Rich Boys of Burberry Prep - CM Stunich - March 2019
The new theme lately for books tends to
be a Reverse Harem set in a High School environment with a Bully aspect to the
story. I had read before Bully novels and RH's and enjoyed them but none
together until Filthy Rich Boys. I have to admit as I have always been a fan of
those two tropes, reading them together made the book more interesting. We have
our female character Marnye Read who has been given a chance to have a
full-ride scholarship at Burberry Prep. However, this isn't just a wealthy
school, this is an affluent school with a strong hierarchy, and they do not
want low-class poor people ruining their perfect image as they nickname Marnye
- "Working Girl" as in Julia Robert's Pretty Woman. Three guys rule
the school - Tristan, Creed, and Zayn. Everybody else follows their lead.
What Tristan says goes, and this year he has made his target Maryne Reed. He
wants her out and has put a bullying plan in place. Marnye will be pushed to
the limits in Filthy Rich Boys as they do and try everything in their power to
break her. The thing is though that they are dealing with someone who was
already broken and overcame that and once she sets her mind on a goal, no-one
can stop her. What I liked about this book is that whatever they chucked at her,
she took it like a boss despite her insides starting to crumble. She was not
going to let them win despite how hard they pushed. We also catch an insight into
Marnye's previous life with Zach being introduced to the book too, and we learn
about how his deal with the devil impacted Marnye those many years ago. I have
to admit after reading this book, Marnye is one of my heroes as I wish I had
her stamina to stay strong and not crumble before those her hurt her.
Amazing series!!! Can’t get enough of it. Please please please continue the series with Bornstead U.
