Review: Good As Dead - Susan Walter - October 2021

This book caught my attention first on Instagram and then the cover drew me in as it was quite striking. The book started a bit odd but as I got into it, things started to make more sense. The book starts with Holly and Savannah's life being shattered within seconds as her husband and dad are killed by a hit and run. The book then jumps where Holly and Savannah have been brought an amazing house with the funds from Happy Little Accidents LTD. The book then jumps to Holly and Savannah moving in and meeting their neighbors Andy and Libby. Andy is a scriptwriter who has been trying to sell his next big thing and Laura is someone who wants to have a "Keep up with the Joneses" syndrome. We also meet Evan who works on behalf of the family that hit Holly's husband. Over the past few months, Evan has started to fall in love with Holly but he doesn't want to overstep the boundaries. What will happen though when Holly decides life isn't worth living and then Savannah's new boyfriend has a dark secret he is hiding and it looks like he could snap at any moment?  Good As Dead is a great read for not only those who love psychological thrillers but has an amazing cover that will look striking on your bookshelves.
