Review: Forget You Saw Her - Noelle W. Ihli

Review: Forget You Saw Her - Book #0 Ask For Andrea Series - Noelle W. Ihli - November 2025
Lately, I’ve found myself completely captivated by the works of Noelle W. Ihli. If you are a fan of fast-paced, "unputdownable" thrillers like those by Freida McFadden or Faith Gardner, then Ihli needs to be at the absolute top of your TBR pile. Her latest release, Forget You Saw Her, has been sitting on my desk for a while, and before I even opened the first page, I had a massive cover crush. It is stunning, moody, and perfectly sets the tone for the story within.
For those who have read Noelle W. Ihli’s previous hit, Ask For Andrea, you’ll remember the haunting premise of ghostly women banding together in the afterlife to take down the man who ended their lives. It was a unique, chilling concept. Forget You Saw Her serves as the prequel, diving deep into Andrea’s personal story.
What I found most fascinating was finally learning the "origin story" of the famous bar poster. the signs in women’s restrooms telling you to go to the bar and "Ask for Andrea" if you feel unsafe or need rescuing. This book beautifully (and heartbreakingly) explains how that movement started and the legacy Andrea left behind.
While the supernatural elements are present, the heart of this book is grounded in the raw reality of Sabina’s investigation. Sabina is Andrea’s biological mother who was forced to give her up for adoption seventeen years ago , a decision she has lived with in quiet regret every day since.
When Andrea goes missing, Sabina refuses to let her daughter become just another cold case. Her journey to expose the killer is relentless. Watching her use her investigative skills to piece together the truth not just for Andrea, but for all the other women harmed by this predator was incredibly moving. Noelle W. Ihli masterfully balances the "ghostly" themes with the gritty, high-stakes hunt for a serial killer.
Whether you’ve already read Ask For Andrea or are completely new to this world, this prequel works perfectly. You can read it before or after the main book, and it only serves to enrich the overall narrative. It’s a story of survival, the unbreakable bond of motherhood, and the pursuit of justice from both sides of the veil.
