I was in the mood for some light-hearted romance and I know for me that Tessa Bailey never fails. I had read and enjoyed the previous two books in this series and Make Me is the final couple's tale of Abby and Russell. This was one of those sweet romances of friends to lovers where of course we have miscommunication and the inferiority/superior complex raging throughout the book. Russell doesn't believe he is good enough for Abby so he is content with being her friend and protector as at least he can keep her safe and sound. Abby likes Russell, but she believes he doesn't want her so she keeps him at arm's length and pretends to herself that he hates her and is always angry at her. Review: Need Me - Book #2 Broke and Beautiful Series - Tessa Bailey - April 2015 One of my favorite romantic comedy authors is Tessa Bailey, I am a big fan of her quirky characters and the wholesome feel her books have. In Book #2 of the Broke and Beautiful series, we have our Southern roomie Honey who is busy studying and taking an English Class. She is an amazing writer and an A+ student, the other thing that she loves about her class is Professor Ben, even his tweed jacket and fashion style turn her on. Review: Chase Me - Book #1 Broke and Beautiful Series - Tessa Bailey - March 2015, Re-released August 2023 I was so excited to receive this series from HarperCollins NZ, as Tessa Bailey is like the Queen of Romantic Comedies and #MeetCute moments for me. I always find her characters fun and likable and a bit quirky and Chase Me was no different. I also loved the new covers for this series as they match her quirkiness a bit more than the realistic covers which were more angst-ridden than I felt. In Chase Me, we meet our main female character Roxy who is dressed as a pink bunny as she is working as a singing telegram deliverer her first client of the day is a lawyer named Louis who has had a one-night stand to write a song about his penis.
