Review: The Edens: A Legacy Story - Book #4.5 The Edens - Devney Perry - April 2023 A family saga that I have enjoyed and read all of the books was The Edens Family set in Quincy, Montana. Each of their books was amazing and now if you have ever wondered how the parents Harrison and Anne got together, here's your chance as turns out that Harrison and Anne used to be high school sweethearts, and then on their last day of High School, they broke up and went their separate ways - now a few years later Anne is back in Quincy, Montana with her friends and they have invited Harrison along. Is this a chance for Harrison and Anne to clear the air and have their second chance at romance? I also loved the last sentence on the last page if you have read The Edens series, you will smile to yourself as it sets the scene for the following books. A bonus too is that this book is a short novella so it makes it a quick and easy read ready to hit that romance itch. Amazon: https://amzn.to/3N5YsT...

Review: Sable Peak - Devney Perry (The Edens #6)

Review: Sable Peak - Book #6 The Edens - Devney Perry - December 2023 This review is a bittersweet one as it comes to the end of the Eden series, besides the last two novellas I have to read.  I have enjoyed this series overall as I do love reading family sagas where each of the books are based on one of the members of the family and it's great too if the family is a "big one" as it means more books for the readers. In the Eden family, we have one more child left - their youngest son Matteo. At the end of the previous book, which was Lyla and Vance's story - Crimson River, we meet Vera Gallagher who was the daughter of Cormac - the guy who attacked Lyla and who Vance thought was dead and murdered along with her other sisters and mother.  In the past months, after Cormac disappeared and Vera stayed behind to try and get a normal life built for her,  she had been living with Lyla and Vance. Now though, she has moved into the loft of one of the other Edens. When Vera fir...

Review: Jasper Vale - Devney Perry

Review: Jasper Vale - Book #4 The Edens Series - Devney Perry - January 2023 Lately, I have been reading my way through Devney Perry's family saga series The Edens, this is another family that I just love and would love to be a part of. One of my favorite themes that I love reading about is family saga stories which span over a good number of books. Normally these series have some big families which is great as that means more books. After finishing Jennifer Hanks's DiMarco family books, I was looking to find another great family, and The Edens are just that. Book #4 Jasper Vale was given to me as a bookstagram gift and is the story of Jasper Vale - Foster Madden's trainer and best friend ( Foster married Talia Eden) and Eloise Eden - manager of The Eloise Hotel. The book starts with a fun trip to Vegas as Foster is having a fight there and Talia doesn't want to watch alone, so she invites her two sisters Lyla and Eloise.  While in Vegas, Lyla heads back to the hotel to...

Review: Garnet Flats - Devney Perry

Review: Garnet Flats - Book #3 The Edens Series - Devney Perry - July 2022 I was in two minds about this book as I have enjoyed the first two books and Book #2 Juniper Hill is still my favorite so far in the series, but I felt that Talia's story was a bit of a letdown, and also her character frustrated me. Looking at all the siblings, Talia even though she is a twin to Lyla ended up with the qualities of acting as a hardarse and she is a bit of a doormat personality with an I am Miss Independent - Hear Me Roar. Her character frustrated me in this book as it was like, stop acting like a spoiled brat and also get over yourself at the same time. It wasn't just her that frustrated me as Foster Madden - I loved his character but the reason he married Talia's friend and was with her for seven years - it screamed weakminded to me and it was like all the characters in this particular book didn't want to step on anyone's toes and cause conflict or make waves - even the side ...

Review: Juniper Hill - Devney Perry (The Edens)

Review: Juniper Hill - Book #2 The Edens Series - Devney Perry - January 2022 I love this series as I love family sagas and big families are better as there's lots in the series and also the opportunity for spin-offs with the next generations. I had heard a lot about this series, but had been burned by other books so was a little hesitant OMG this series is amazing as with every book, you can't help but fall in love with the Eden family as they are all just down to earth and genuine people with big hearts and big wallets as they are Quincy royalty but they don't let that stop them from being caring and down to earth. In Book #2 we head over to the home called Juniper Hill which belongs to Knox Eden - one of the Eden brothers. His sister Eloise has offered his loft to one of the new hotel workers Memphis and her newborn son. Knox has some bad memories when it comes to babies and single mothers, memories that he wishes to suppress and hide away. However, with Memphis and he...
