Review: Initium - Book #2.5 Nocte Series - Courtney Cole - September 2015 What does one do when they feel themselves in a bit of a slump and want something to read and hit the spot but can't decide? They end up scrolling and end up clicking on an older title that has been sitting on the Kindle for years. Have you ever read a series but left it in between each book for far too long? That was me with this one as I had to go back and re-read my reviews of Books 1-3 in the Nocte Series. I got the gist of it and then went to read this one and I felt myself confused again as the characters didn't quite match up with names I had read previously. That was until one of the baby's names was revealed Adair DuBray aka Dare DuBray - Calla's boyfriend. Initium is the story of Adair's birth and how his mum Olivia was promised to an evil man named Richard but her heart belonged to Philip DuBray, a mysterious handsome guy she never could be fully with. This book talks about the fa...

Lochlan Pax Sinclair (The Scotsman’s Kilt, #1) Publication date: June 6th 2022 Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance An enemies-to-lovers, Scottish billionaire romance. A standalone story and book one of the Scotsman’s Kilt series. Lochlan: It’s true. I’m the heir to the MacTavish Whiskey empire. The cold-hearted SOB who’s been on a drinking, drugging, womanizing binge that was splashed all over the Scottish tabloids for months, until the patriarch of our family exiled me to America to run a winery. There are only a handful of people left in the Lochlan fan club who think I deserve redemption. Other than I’m worth a fortune, why would anyone want to save a soulless bastard like me when all I want is revenge? Kenzie: It’s complicated. I’ve been given a challenge to seduce Lochlan MacTavish as part of an initiation into a club. The only way to reach him is through his Silicon Valley winery. All I need is proof that we slept together and I’m in, but it’s not easy. First, I hav...

Review: A Hurt So Sweet - Volume #3 - Betti Rosewood / Isabella Starling

Review: A Hurt So Sweet - #Volume 3 - Betti Rosewood/ Isabella Starling - July 2020 First, off I have added the name Betti Rosewood to the review as that was the name initially that Isabella Starling was using to write this series but I noticed she has gone back to her name on the cover of Volume #3.  Volume #3 picks up where Volume #2 ended with Lai calling Dexter as Pandora is a mess. She trusted Easton Brantley and look where it got her, she ended up having sex with the other boys Caspian, Justin, and Lai, and treated like dirt or as they use this term in the book a lot "toy" whose use is to be used and then discarded like yesterday's trash. When Emilian finds out she is ruined now by not just one but all five of the founding family sons, this is his last straw and he strips her of her firstborn rights and now Brazen has inherited the rights of Firstborn and Tianna - second born so this has reduced Pandora - to absolute nothing ( which puts her even lower than maids...

Review: A Hurt So Sweet - Volume #2  Elite of Eden Falls Prep Series - Betti Rosewood - October 2019 One of the darkest bullymances I have read would have to be the series A Hurt So Sweet by Betti Rosewood. I was in the mood last night to read something but wasn't sure what I wanted to read. I remember scrolling through and this series popped into my head. Just like the first volume, this book was just as crazy as we are reunited with Pandora who is trying to find herself in this crazy world where she is like currency - worth something but not. Volume #2 has the introduction to Easton Brantley who seems like Pandora's savior from Dexter Booth but she is about to realize that maybe she has chosen the worst of the two evils. Can Dexter save her or has Pandora realized it is too late to save herself? In Volume #2 we get a surprise as we learn more about Lily-Anne Oakes and the events surrounding her death that are touched on in the first book. We also learn more about Dexter...
