Review: Frozen - Book #1 Detective Ellie MacIntosh Series - December 2012 Being on holiday and it has been warm at night, I decided last night to head to bed about 8.45-9 pm with my book and clicked on Frozen by Kate Watterson, this book has been sitting on my Kindle since June 2013. I had read a couple of Kate's mysteries and enjoyed them. I also really liked the covers of this series as they follow the same style but use the elements where the book is set for the covers. Review: The Winter Killer - Book #3 DI James Walker Series - Alex Pine - October 2022 Was hoping for a good read finally on the Libby App as the last four had been DNFs for me, as they were just thrillers that were too slow and could not get into. Though book #3 in the series, The Winter Killer can be read as a standalone novel. The book starts with a hint that so far it looks like this small town has escaped the Christmas curse of the past couple of years of bad murders happening. However, we get to New Year's Eve and a murder strikes as the bride's sister turns up dead. The thing though is that this wedding party is quite tight-lipped and no one seems to be in the know about how the maid of honour ended up dead and everyone is a suspect. Review: Little Country Cottage: A Winter Treasury of Recipes, Crafts and Wisdom - Angela Ferraro- Fanning - September 2022 This series is amazing, each book represents a season and the Winter treasury was an amazing collection of crafts, arts, and recipes of things you can make with your children. As the book series is American, we have our Winter Christmas Arts and nice warm recipes to cozy up with. With recipes on how to make your Christmas cocoa and Christmas decorations. The other amazing thing is that the book just has that old-timey feel to it that reminds me of the Little House on the Prarie and I can imagine a time before technology where the mum and her children are sitting in front of the fireplace working together to create great memories.
